Sadr Threatens To End Ceasefire?

Published by at 6:53 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

As I pointed out in a previous post the attacks from Sadr City on the Green Zone in Baghdad had been building for weeks as Sadr and his Iranian puppet masters created a bloody media event for the Surrendercrats and Surrendermedia for talking points. This vicious cycle of blood for media has been going on in Iraq for years because the SurrenderMedia and Surrendercrats make it beneficial to the cause of terrorists to kill masses of people, get on the news, and push for America’s surrender when it is the terrorists who are, in fact, losing badly.

Terrorist survive on threats and atrocities. As long as we reward them with headlines and hand wringing they will keep up the bloody campaigns. They are addicted to the infamy. Sadr is no different. He is now threatening to end a cease-fire that clearly has not been in place for weeks!

Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr threatened on Tuesday to lift a ceasefire he imposed his Mehdi Army militia last August.

“If it is required to lift the freeze (ceasefire) in order to carry out our goals, objectives, doctrines and religious principles and patriotism, we will do that later and in a separate statement,” Sadr said in a statement published on his Web site.

Why is any media outlet carrying this nonsense without pointing out the weeks of mortars hitting the green zone, basically making a joke of the ceasefire? Does anyone think Americans are so brain dead as to not see that we don’t fight unless their is someone dangerous threatening the people of Iraq and our people on the ground? Sadr has been playing the media like a fiddle, almost like they are partners.

We have a media that provides oxygen to deadly terrorists, but only when they kill and maim people. We have a media that cannot see its own role in the carnage and how they carry the water for those who kill for fame and power. And we have leaders who use this symbiotic relationship of death to try and gain political power. No wonder 80% of this country feel it is off the tracks. With Surrendercrats and a SurrenderMedia prolonging the death and destruction in Iraq so we lose instead of win who wouldn’t find that upside down and ugly to boot.

On the topic of the media, did you see that CBS is seriously considering disbanding it’s reporting staff and simply having Katie Couric read reports prepared by CNN? Don’t have the link handy, but they are in serious talks with CNN on this matter.

Although CBS deserves this as it has become a joke of a news organization, it’s still a sad day for what was once a great American insitution. With this change, they will become just another marketing/entertainment co. with only marketing/financial types for employees, except for a handful of well payed front people like Couric.

When the history of the broadast media is written in the future, it will be recorded that CBS died in the Rathergate scam. They floundered the response to the scandal, tried to distance themselves from it but didn’t have the guts to really disavow it, and now they are finished.

And they really are finished – the existence of these talks confirms it. Of course the brand name will live on in some form, no marketing guru worth his pay can ever let a brand name vanish – but the organization itself is dead. RIP, CBS.

If CBS hired Rush, they could turn their network around overnight.

I thought Sadr pulled himself out of that decision by saying that he was abdicating his role as head of the JAM.

When the MSM starts advocating Congress cut off funds for the war, which it could have and should have for several years, but being part of the Empire, has not, Strata will have a case.

  5. 75 says:

    “When” the MSM starts advocating?
They’ve been pressing the anti-war message since 9/11.

    Utterly clueless.

  6. truthhard2take says:

MSM never has supported the only effective measure of ending the war, as even Strata has told the truth about—cutting off funds, never has chastened cowardly Dems for failing to support Kucinich’s legislation. The MSM didn’t even challenge Bush’s pre-war lies.

Three weeks after we were in Iraq the media was calling it a quagmire. I heard it with my own ears!

  8. 75 says:

    There’s a Kucinich reference again.
You might as well be referencing a house plant.

The MSM fabricated the “Bush lied, kids died” nonsense…no one here will be surprised to see you still buy into it. What a clown.
