Jimmuh Goes On Surrender Tour Of Mideast To Remind America Why Not To Vote Dem This Year
Man, is Jimmy Carter really a GOP Mole working undercover all these decades? His one term debacle as President launched much of the Islamo Fascist terrorist movement we see today. But his policies brought us Ronald Reagan and the conservative movement for two decades (minus a small nostalgic dalliance with the Dems from 1992-1994 and 2006-2008). Carter and Clinton did more to make the right look good, by comparison, than most people appreciate.
And here Carter is again out on the road reminding Americans what a Surrendercrat does – he coddles and legitimizes brutal terrorists by giving them audience, with full physical embrace (as well as political embrace through his presence):
Former President Jimmy Carter embraced a leading Hamas figure Tuesday, according to participants in a meeting that infuriated Israeli officials already upset by Carter’s freelance Mideast peace mission.
Carter also laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat, whom the Bush administration and many Israelis blame for the breakdown of peace talks seven years ago and the violence that followed. At a reception in the West Bank town of Ramallah organized by Carter’s office, the former president hugged Nasser Shaer, a senior Hamas politician, meeting participants said. Embraces between men are a common custom in Arab culture.
“He gave me a hug. We hugged each other, and it was a warm reception,” Shaer told The Associated Press. “Carter asked what he can do to achieve peace between the Palestinians and Israel … and I told him the possibility for peace is high.”
For terrorist peace is one surrender and cut-and-run by America away. Why is Carter giving presidential meetings to terrorists who don’t deserve even entry into this country of ours? Is he the useful idiot of Hamas as some have claimed?
Muhammad Nazzal, an Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) terror group official in Syria, told the Associated Press that Carter had sent an envoy to Damascus requesting a meeting with their exiled leader Mashaal. Hamas “Welcomed the request.â€
State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said of Carter’s meeting, “US government policy is that Hamas is a terrorist organization and we don’t believe it is in the interest of our policy or in the interest of peace to have such a meeting.” Assistant secretary of state David Welch spoke with the 82-year-old Carter before his trip and asked him not to meet any representative of Hamas.
No it is not. If you cannot pass a security check to enter this country your not the kind of person we should be negotiating with. In fact, we should be hunting you down. Carter is an old fool but he is providing America an important foil between McCain and the two Surrendercrats opposing him. We can waste time talking to terrorists as they plot to kill thousands of us or we can eliminate them before they can attack. Carter is showing us the foolishness and naiveté of the Surrendercrats which, in the end, leave terrorists alive and well and safe from our justice. And on the other side of we have Crocker, Petraeus and Bush showing us how to destroy the terrorists and bring democracy and hope to the region, leaving terrorist very little to survive off of.
This choice doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out.
I wonder if Jimmy Carter is really insane? I mean that. Crazy.
Most of the architects of the Iraq War in the Bush Adminstration
couldn’t pass a security check if wrong were righted. Hamas is a freedom fighting organization not considered terrorist by Russia China and most of Europe.Israel is an intransigent illegal occupier of the West Bank and Samaria-at least-and harsh oppressor of Palestinians.
Strata, get used to it. The next president will have to negotiate in good faith with some of your least favorites-among others, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and probably Syria.Carter’s Mideast policies as president betrayed his fear of the Zionist Lobby which he has largely but belatedly attempted to correct and redeem himself. A flawed but more decent man than any Bush cabinent foreign policy hack.
Hamas is a terrorist org according to US. That’s “here”.
What they should do is deny Carter entry back into the US and revoke his passport.
The really, really bad news for the Strataspheristas is to be found in today’s daily tracking polls from Gallup:
1. Obama widens his lead over Hillary to 51% – 40%, in spite of the bogus Rev. Wright and “bitter” attacks by the misguided Ms. Clinton and the Crazy Old Cootâ„¢; and
2. He continues to hold a 46% – 44% advantage over the aforesaid Crazy Old Cootâ„¢ (You damn kids get out my pachysandra with that goldarned Frisbie). McCain has not led Obama in the Gallup poll since April 6th.
And Obama hasn’t even started campaigning against John Sidney McCain III, known to his flying buddies as “Ace” not because he shot down 5 enemy planes, but because his flying skills were so mediocre he lost 5 of OUR planes, three of ’em before being sent into combat.
Additionally, Obama has said when elected he will instruct his AG to investigate immediately upon confirmation all the documents and actions that have lead to our policy of torture.
Is anyone surprised that Truthy-Kooky thinks America’s worst president is a more decentr man than Bush? All we need is for Norm to seal this Kook date with the sloppy kiss of approval.
America’s worst president?? Carter? Say what??
Only someone with no historical knowledge whatsoever would make such a foolish representation. The three worst presidents (prior to the current dim-witted occupant of the office) are generally agreed upon by historians to be: #3 – Andrew Johnson; #2 Warren Harding, and #1 – James Buchanan, whose ineptitude led to the Civil War.
Before the blessed day when Dubbya leaves office, closely pursued by Federal investigators, it will be generally acknowledged that Bush will replace Buchanan as the Worst President in US history. His current 28% approval is an all time low, and will no doubt go lower as more indicia of his criminality surface between now and November.
Anyone who promises to kill Jews is a hero in truthy’s book, so it’s hardly a surprise he idolizes Hamas.

Strata claims the Arab world has learned from witnessing five years of heroic US occupation of Iraq, emphasis on cleaning out monstrous al Qaeda, how great America is.
Ummm back to the drawing board, AJ. We’ve never had it so bad in the eyes of the Arabs.
Truthy,
Ah, that would be a Zogby poll. Once again, no bias there! (sarc)
I don’t think he (Carter) is crazy, I just think he is an imbecile.
…he is an imbecile. No not really, someone else was running Rooshia then so he took the open job….

I say crazy…
AJ, you need to stop viewing the world in such absolutes. Since you seem to think that talking to terrorist is treason, I’m wondering what you think about paying and arming terrorist not to kill us? The Sunni Awakening groups are terrorist that were killing American soldiers and Iraqi civilians. Now we are arming them and paying them to help us with security. Oh, and by the way, we had to actually talk to them first before we were able to reach this agreement – so I guess we can call it double-treason. Despite the fact that our willingness to negotiate and pay off terrorists is the one of the biggest reasons for the security success of the surge, something you and other conservatives tout all the time, you continue to maintain the hard line that even talking to our enemies is tantamount to surrender. Do you not see the inconsistency with your position?
While I won’t defend Carter’s trip because I don’t think it is useful for former presidents to engage in diplomatic engagements that are not supported by the current administration and/or government, it is utterly naive to claim that negotiating with enemies is tantamount to surrendering. The US has always negotiated with its enemies throughout history to protect its interests. That is how Reagan ended the Cold War for christ sakes. The bottomline is that our current policy with Hamas and Gaza has not produced any meaningful gains and has created significant problems for Israel, eygpt, etc. Simply assuming that the problem will go away if we cut Gaza off from the world and try and strave them out is naive. We will not resolve that situation without engaging in some diplomacy.
It’s far more naive to think that one can negotiate with terrorists.
75,
So apparently you think that it was naive for Bush and Petraus to negotiate with the Sunni Awakening group? Oh wait, maybe the Sunni insurgents who were killing our soldiers are no longer terrorist . . . because they are now our friends! You people crack me up sometimes.
Well, I followed another of Truth’s links, much to my dismay, only to see it is utter nonsense. If you notice, one quote is “Only 6% of Arabs believe the US troop surge in Iraq has worked, according to the latest poll.” Really? That quote is followed by “In contrast, an ABC/BBC poll conducted in Iraq and released in March, appeared to show a 20% increase in the number of Iraqis who felt the surge was succeeding and described the security situation as good.” So, Truth believes we go with the non involved Arabs and ignore the Iraqis who are actually involved.
But the final line is the killer: “Almost half of Arabs believe that if Tehran acquires nuclear weapons the outcome for the region would be more positive than negative. ” We really have to ask “who was polled?” and “What were the questions?”
As a final thought, Truth is really confusing me. Yesterday he referenced a story that claimed Ron Paul represented Republicans and today we have this junk from the BBC. Not even an American liberal would be posting these references. Could it be that Truth is not an American?
Conman, I never said any such thing. Nice try.
75,
Let me connect the dots for you. You said “It’s far more naive to think that one can negotiate with terrorist.” The Sunnis Awakening group was part of the Iraqi insurgency that was killing our soldiers and Iraqi civilians for 4 years, so I assume you will agree that they are terrorists. Despite the fact that they are terrorist, Petraus and Bush agreed to negotiate with them, and ultimately agreed to arm and pay them to switch to our side. Based on your comment quoted above, Petraus and Bush are naive. Any other questions?
Conman is just another example of why liberals could never conduct a war. The subtle nuances of military conflict escape them. To them it’s only successful if it’s waged the way kids play war with plastic army men. You’re in , you’re out, someone wins, someone loses…all very quick…no casualties, no damage.
Sometimes, you have to pick the lesser of 2 evils when those are the choices you are faced with. Does that mean that you may have to face the current lesser evil in the future when they are now your primary enemy? Yes. The same is true for your onetime
enemies becoming your allies. The world isn’t static. Anyone who believes that it is or could be is either very ignorant or naive.
Conman, you had a slim chance of actually making a valid point but that would require you to;
A) make the case that a Jimmy Carter negotiation was anything like a George Bush and Petraeus negotiation.
or/and
B) if you could make a case that Hamas was anything like the Sunnis.
Unfortunately for you, and fortunately for our nation, you can’t make either.
