A liberal Surrendercrat has crossed the line by expressing delight that al-Qaeda had been made aware a Bush administration official’s identity, clearly expressing joy at the idea the US official could be a target of an al-Qaeda attack:
During a contentious House hearing on harsh interrogation techniques for terror suspects Thursday, Rep. Bill Delahunt, D-Massachusetts, was pressing David Addington, the vice president’s chief of staff, about meetings he attended while serving as Cheney’s chief counsel.
Delahunt asked repeatedly whether the topic of waterboarding, a controversial interrogation technique that simulates drowning, ever came up.
Addington replied that he could not discuss that because “al Qaeda may watch C-SPAN.”
“Right,” Delahunt responded. “Well, I’m sure they are watching, and I’m glad they finally have the chance to see you, Mr. Addington.”
“Yeah, I’m sure you’re pleased,” Addington shot back.
“Given your penchant for being unobtrusive,” Delahunt said of Addington’s ability to stay behind the scenes.
Emphasis mine. The words “I’m glad” are not hard to understand, they are an expression of joy over the idea al-Qaeda now has a name for any vengeance it may want. And when Addington noted the pleasure of this liberal fruitcake, the fruitcake doesn’t deny his joy, but defends it by way of his frustration with Addington’s views.
Since when is it acceptable in this country to be so intolerant of differing views that one openly hopes for those holding opposing views to be killed. The office of the liberal fruitcake doesn’t even deny the comments or how they are clearly to be interpreted:
Mark Forest, Delahunt’s chief of staff, said the congressman’s comments “might not have been the most artful” way of expressing his frustration with the administration and acknowledged that the statement “could have been better phrased.”
Resign Congressman, you have sullied your office and hope for our enemies to strike down you better. You are a loser who cannot realize this is not a nation of losers or quitters. The glee by democrats for exposing brave Americans who are simply trying to protect all of us outrageous.
