The point Terrye is making, imho, (and I know she is not a conservative per se) is that she did not even care about seeing the lie-fest. It was too sickening to watch, full of empty words and intellectual dishonesty. Just words. And fabrications.

I am sure Bill gave a good speech. He was always good at that sort of thing. But I am also sure that the Obamas and the Clintons hate each other. And the same thing can be said for their respective fan clubs.

Unify the country? Hell, they can not even unify themselves.

Respect Level: laughingstock due to his phone conversations with buddy and terrorist Yassar Arafat while “meeting” with Monica.

Economics: promised middle class tax cut (reneged within weeks of inauguration and just before passing the largest tax increase in history). claimed credit for Republican welfare reform and balanced budget plans. Road the huge economic boon related to Information Technology. At the end of 8 years: country sliding toward recession, and left W. to deal with Enron, Worldcom, and Global Crossing corruption that thrived unchecked during the Clinton years.

Armed Forces: emaciated due to budget cuts and Al Gore’s downsizing of the Federal Employment rolls, most of which were within the armed forces.

Obama’s Promises: without end.
Obama’s Accomplishments: without beginning.
Obama’s Judgment: Terrorist William Ayer’s, Felon Tony Rezko, and 20 year spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright

Ultimately, what I’ll remember most about tonight was Biden trashing his “friend” John McCain to the cheers of the party of compassion and tolerance. I’ll be surprised with a bounce of 5%.

The three “debates” aren’t debates at all – find a dictionary and go find out what a real debate is supposed to be. They’re just going to be forums with both candidates on stage answering staged questions with prepared answers and little to no give and take between them. The big Lie is to pretend that these are actually “debates” – they’re not. They’re joint infomercials. McCain tried for more, because he knows the American public wants more. Obama is scared of any forum where he can’t control the questions. No more Saddlebacks for him!!!

As far as this convention, Ace over at the Ace of Spades blog has captured my feelings perfectly:

Really? They’re going to have 3 of them, within 3 weeks of each other.

Does your definition of “will not debate” actually mean “has not debated so far”? Because otherwise, it doesn’t make much sense.

I think I get it. A politician can say anything as long as his opponent is not on the stage. Any lie will do. Any distortion will do. Any implication will do. No wonder Obama will not debate McCain.

Oh c’mon AJ – I admit that I spent a decent portion of Pres. Clinton’s speech wondering “What are AJ and the other Repubs going to use to bash this thing?” But – “half the place stopped cheering”? What video feed were you watching that showed the crowd reaction the entire time during his speech, and allowed you to count all of those imaginary people? Was this a Fox News special on “How We Wish the Clinton Speech Went”?

The crowd reaction was just as strong for that statement as they were for anything else in his speech. And as soon as someone loads it up on YouTube, you’ll be exposed for the partisan hack that you are.

(Oh, BTW – I’m not saying the rest of your post here wasn’t delusional, because it was. Seriously – you’re going to try and blame Clinton for 9/11, when it happened during Bush’s tenure, and he had been warned about it just a month before? This just happened to be the one part that jumped out at me as “I will say anything to promote my party’s views, reality be damned”.)

Since it is kind of a different name [Thai] that no one else has, I am immediately first entry when one googles Fuanglada blog… and… lots of first page hits as well on google. Not bad for a blog that is basically read by my sister… daughter … and son. Absolutely no charge for that advice to a new blogger.

My wife {Fuanglada} loved Senator Clinton’s speech and all the nice things she promised “if it can happen” and wants to believe her but “I know it can not happen.”

As per President Clinton, after I reviewed for her many of the events that actually happened in his administration… sigh… I do not know how a man can stand up there and distort things so badly with a straight face.

btw2… We both voted for Stevens & Don Young in the primary yesterday … I have met & visited with both of them. Bring out your sticks and stones.
With Stevens, he is {only?} on trial. Seems very confident about that and will not discuss. He’s a good Senator and right on the big stuff. As for Don Young, I had to grit my teeth. He is best for Alaska and we can take the hits from all of you. Hope for Stevens the most… If the Dems get that seat [and Begich is extremely popular and has run Anchorage very well as Mayor]… that Senate swing will put the Dems very close to the magic filibuster busting number. It is likely that one or both will lose.
