Blitzer & Situation Room Sink Into The Liberal Sewer – Updated

Published by at 5:53 pm under All General Discussions

I just watched the most amazing bit of TV in decades – I cannot wait to see the YouTube version of it. Wolf Ditzer (aka Blitzer) was hosting Gloria Berger, Bill Bennet, Donna Brazille an John King (I believe) on The Situation Room and were discussing young Bristol Palin’s (Governor Palin’s oldest daughter) pregnancy and her plans to have the baby and marry the father. At the center of this discussion was Barack Obama’s call to keep the families (and these personal decisions) off limits. But what does CNN do? They air a woman reporter who ran to Alaska questioning the entire abstinence position of Governor Palin in light of her daughter’s  pregnancy. It was pathetic.

Besides the Duh factor that abstinence works every time it is tried (pregnancies being proof of the opposite) Bill Bennet was rightfully outraged at CNN and Blitzer for bringing the Palin family’s personal issues into the debate like this. Bennett was hammering Blitzer who did not want to concede CNN crossed the line.

John King was looking just stunned and as if he was going to get sick. He wanted nothing to do with the muck raking by CNN. And Gloria Berger basically agreed with Bennett and said Bristol Palin should be off limits – and then just sneered at Blitzer and looked apologetically to the camera.

Blitzer ‘the ditz’ was stunned to silence. Only Brazille, the Democrat attack dawg, tried to make some connection. CNN could not keep itself out of the gutter, and fell into the sewer with that one.

If any sees the YouTube capture on this one let me know – it is one for history books.

Update: Here is the sewer reporting:

Here is Bill Bennett going off on CNN – watch John King on the left and Borger in the middle:

And Mort Kondracke (another liberal male with no respect) also went of on Bristol Palin on Fox

Here is my message to Bristol and her soon to be husband – you guys are great. LJ and I had are first child before the wedding so our wedding was a celebration of our future, not a response to having child. With the support of your parents you will do fine. We support you and you are not to be the example for ANYONE’S lame political crap. You did the right thing and will be rewarded. After 23 years of marriage and 4 kids later, fate sent LJ and I on a wonderful adventure. Much better than what happened to most of our friends at the time.

We stand by you – take care.

Thanks for making the point. I saw it too. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing from the reporter. It kept getting more shocking as it went on…

I thought it was clear that Obama only meant ‘his’ family was off limits. They’ve not hesitated to sling any mud they thought might stick toward the Republicans. Change? it’s politics as usual, win at all costs.

I just watched Wolfe and group continue to talk about the daughter and “troopergate” wondering when they will get to talk to Palin about all this. I say when you talk to Obama about his lie about Ayers being just a neighbor.

I was watching when this went down.Blitzer kept saying how he understood it wasn’t right, while the whole time continuing the line of discussion. That was Kyra Phillips in Alaska poking around for dirt to relay to Wolf.Bill bennet would not let up on his condemnation.

  5. WWS says:

This from the same media that said Edwards and his lies about his girlfriend and the baby he had shouldn’t be discussed because it was too “personal”, or something.

  6. perdogg says:

Apparently, CNN is also investigating whether Trig belongs to the daughter.

  7. Terrye says:

So what if she supports abstinence only? she could support handing condoms out in the classroom and girls will still get pregnant.

  8. Terrye says:

Obama wants this to stop because he is afraid it will rebound on him.

Do not worry about our Sarah…
[ http://fuanglada.wordpress.com/ …Maysman from Alaska here] I am starting to like our Sarah jokes… for example…

“Are you kidding me, the mayor of Wasilla, Alaska? Yeah, that’s who you want in the White House during a time of crisis. When she got a phone call at 3 in the morning, it was because a moose had gotten in the garbage can.” –Bill Maher

Poor Bill… He forgot to mention that it pissed our Sarah off so she killed the moose with her bare hands… skinned & gutted it in -40 degrees temp… made mooseburgers for the kids breakfast… made love with Todd… & then jogged 5 miles to the Governor’s office where she negotiated an oil pipeline deal that was fair to all involved and vetoed 7 lousy bills the REPUBLICANS sent to her desk that day . Not surprisingly, 14 moose came to her house that evening to apologize.

Please tell me that CNN doesn’t get their “news” or leads from the Daily Kos? It sure looks like that to me. So CNN gets leads which they ask a bunch of people about and then report it as hard news without investigation, fact finding, or indepth research.

Alan Colmes is talking about the bridge to nowhere, and saying that Palin supported it before she didn’t supported it. If he were interested in the story there is an in-depth report how that bridge was passed by the former Governor and started before she got into office. Yes she didn’t not support it until she learned more about it and discovered that it would cost another $270,000 to build it and didn’t want to use more money to build it. Found a cheaper way to get people back and forth.

Then there is the troopergate story. It actually began 2 years before she became governor. The details are long, but it is very different then is being reported. But what CNN is doing is spewing the Daily Kos with out any investigation. Palin could be the next Vice President of the United States and indepth reporting is not worth while? Is she that unimportant?

I guess that is what they did with Ayers too.

    Really they are a joke!

I would like to know what sex education has to do with the presidential elections. This is a state matter not federal. It is disengenious of the media and the dems to say anything about Bristol Palin’s baby or sex education in this context. It is just an excuse to trash the Palin family in hopes she will drop out. The media has truly gone down the sewer and I hope they will go out of business as soon as possible. I cannot boycott the major networks any more than I am doing now. I don’t watch them at all ever and I haven’t for years. And I’m getting pretty disgusted with Fox also.
