The Palin Phenom

I knew Governor Palin would shake this race up, and I could tell after her convention speech she was an up and coming force to be reckoned with. I also saw her start a bit slow on the campaign trail this weekend, reading from her convention speech. Not surprising for a new face. But this woman is a fast study, and when she puts her heart into it she is unmatched in the emotion she evokes in the crowds clamoring to see her and McCain. Just check out this video of her in Colorado Springs yesterday (H/T Kim Priestap at Wizbang):

The emotion she is generating crowd is just incredible. I though Obama could excite a crowd. On top of that, there is no one on the Democrat side (especially Joe What’s-his-name) who can introduce the Presidential Candidates like Palin does McCain. That line about being a mother of a war fighter in Iraq is just so real, so touching, it is not something that is learned or practiced.

Once you watch this video it is interesting to then read the commentary. There are some signs of rationale fear on the side of the Dems to the Palin Phenom and the news media attacks. I think things are just beginning to come clear on how bad it will be for the left in the face of Sarah Palin.

Dave Kopel does a great job of covering the media blunders and how Americans are rallying around her – for she is one of us. She is our family, and the enemy is now the Political Industrial Complex in DC and NY which has created a sewer of hyper-partisanship in government.

Even liberals across the pond in the UK have begun to sense the depth of the self destruction of the liberal left. And if they can see it from over there it must be glaringly obvious.

It’s always easier to see things from a certain distance.

I’d have said that if even the British — with their famously tabloid press coverage of their politicians — think the coverage of Governor Palin has been over the top, it must be even worse than we think.

  2. […] Obama gets a lot of photo-op crowds by scheduling massively popular bands to fill his events. One thing is for sure Sarah Palin can draw huge crowds all on her own! From yesterday in Colorado Springs (video below): […]

    SARAH PALIN’S EXPERIENCE:

Don’t dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard– consider this.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden’s and certainly by far exceeds Obama’s.

She’s also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s counter terrorism plans.

Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country’s defense. Given Alaska ‘s proximity to Russia , she may have security clearances we don’t even know about.

According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.

She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

Thanks. It behaves when under the fold until you press more. This at least gives more control.
