Obidenama Crashing In State Polls
Michigan is not a red state by a long shot. In a late June poll by Democrat pollster PPP Obama led McCain by 9 points (48-39) and held a commanding 11 point lead with women. In the latest September PPP Poll Obama’s lead is a 1 point, a statistical tie in a Democrat state. And worse, that 11 point lead with women is now down to 3 points. This state has moved from solid Obama to toss-up in two and half months. Anyone else see a trend here?
And I suspect these polls are just beginning their movement, not near the end of it. It has only been a few days since the conventions, but has more and more people share their excitement and their personal stories of moving to McCain/Palin there will be more movement to come. If this continues for the next 2 months Obama will have pulled a Bill Clinton, and crippled his party from top to bottom.

I think the ones that are sticking and having some impact are the ones run by McCain that tie Obama to high gas prices which hurt the Big Three Autos and this state’s economy. We have been struggling locally for several years and the high gas prices are like being kicked while we are already down. Also, with the Mayor of Detroit finally stepping down, the vote producing machine in Detroit is in disarray.
