Another Liberal Double Standard

Published by at 7:46 pm under All General Discussions

For anyone who would like to know, the McCain Palin rally in Fairfax, VA today was originally suppose to be held at Fairfax High School. Granted, they would have only been able to accommodate 4,000 people at the school. The venue was changed yesterday afternoon due an emergency meeting of the school board to complain about the disruption to students. I forget who mentioned it, but Obama and Hillary have held events at at least 3 high schools in VA. Including today. So its ok for Obama to be in the middle of the school library with reporters and supporters, but McCain has to change his venue because it will disturb students. Wow, what a double standard. I don’t care if the school teachers, administrators, or board members tend to be liberal, if it is too disruptive for politicians to be in schools then they should not be open to ANY candidates!!

Why do all the authors on this blog have the middle initial “J”?

OK, sorry, that’s probably too personal.
Here’s another question, about liberal double standards,

Why isn’t the editor of the NYTimes under arrest this morning?
Revealing secret Presidential orders would seem to me to not
be protected by the Constitution’s guarantees.

Ya think Obama will exercise the Eagleton option by replacing Biden with Hillary?

I think that this move would end up being disastrous to the Obama ticket. It will show the lack of leadership, judgment, and character on Obama’s part.

A few weeks ago, the Obama campaign had a rally here in Lynchburg, at the E. C. Glass High School Auditorium. Liberty University had purchased a nearly defunct strip shopping center nearby, to house some of their administrative activities a few years ago. At the last minute, the Obama campaign contacted Liberty, assuming that Liberty would donate the use of the mall’s parking for those attending the rally. Jerry Falwell Jr. refused, on the grounds that there wasn’t enough time to research the ramifications of a non-profit allowing a political entity the use of their facilities, and also not enough time to seek the permission of the remaining retail tenants. Liberty campus police were placed at the entrance to the parking lot and did not allow the attendees to park there.

Big controversy ensued, Liberty was skewered in the local paper, with the exception of one editorial that seemed to take their side. One thing for sure, EC Glass had no hesitation in allowing the Obama rally to take place in their auditorium.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac is going further out on a limb than usual this year, not only forecasting a cooler winter, but looking ahead decades to suggest we are in for global cooling, not warming.
Based on the same time-honored, complex calculations it uses to predict weather, the Almanac hits the newsstands on Tuesday saying a study of solar activity and corresponding records on ocean temperatures and climate point to a cooler, not warmer, climate, for perhaps the next half century.

I guess this means that Al Gore will be canceling his subscription.
