Here is the sequence of events that took me to the files from her hacked account that in any event do not provide anything useful to them. This hack, should be investigated and prosecuted though.

It started with this story

This is not the first time Monegan has lost his job. In 2006, Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich asked him to leave his post as Anchorage police chief early, although Monegan was willing to stay on another year. At the time, Begich had just won re-election and was restructuring department leadership.

Monegan joked that he’s “getting a complex,” but said the kinds of jobs he’s had lately are ones where you serve at the pleasure of your boss.

“They can call me in and say, you know, ‘I don’t like your hair; you’re fired,’ ” Monegan said.

“The Wooten accusation came initially on the blog of former state Rep. Andrew Halcro, who ran against Palin in the 2006 gubernatorial race and who has been a staunch critic of her and her administration since.”

So I went to Andrew Halcro’s blog and found the following recent post.

These criminals should be found and convicted. We should not be surprised to learn how low the Dems will go to win this campaign!!

The Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO) program provides state funding for rural villages in Alaska (most of which are predominately Alaska Native) to train and hire their own public safety officers to assist the Alaska State Troopers in handling public safety and law enforcement problems (see Alaska state law enforcement). VPSOs receive six weeks’ training at the Public Safety Academy in Sitka (see Law enforcement training and certification in Alaska). The VPSO program involves some 90 to 100 VPSOs in village throughout the state. Some rural villages rely upon locally hired Village Police Officers (VPOs); other villages have both a VPSO and one or more VPOs, who assist the VPSO in his or her duties.

The day after Alaska government emails were released in an attempt to prove to the public that the reason former Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was fired by Gov. Palin was due to insubordination rather than his refusal to fire her former broth…

Hopefully this story of what was really going on with Monegan and Palin between October 2007 and July 2008 will be all over the blogosphere by the end of the week, if not tomorrow. The MSM obviously won’t touch this (except from the increasingly ridiculous “Troopergate” angle), so hopefully the McCain campaign will have an opportunity to discuss this in detail (it does indeed sound like they could easily use this story to sell Sarah Palin’s qualities as a leader of sterling quality).

One other thing, I’m appalled that Obama is willing to use the “L” word. The first time I heard one party call the other, out and out liars, was the Dems calling Bush a liar. I can’t tell you how offensive I find that kind of political talk. I’m surprised Obama has resorted to it in his campaign.
