This would not be happening unless open support of McCain-Palin has been deemed acceptable by the “powers that be” in the highest level of Jewish, Democratic, financial and Society circles in New York.

What I think this means is that significant players within those circles have concluded that an Obama victory would be bad news for them – their businesses and their influence, and perhaps even for the larger economy. It also may reflect an assessment that Obama is going to lose anyway, and that the best positioning for the future is Hillary in 2012 after a single term McCain Presidency. Thirdly, if they think McCain may well win, it is also a bid for influence in a McCain administration, to protect their own interests and to move him to the left. This is a mid-range tactical, not a long-term strategic, shift.

The last time I saw such a huge shift in these circles was probably 1980, when many moved to Reagan, or 1992 when otherwise Republican financial types decided it was OK to support Clinton.

Then John McCain will introduce Sarah at UN.

Boy, the liberals are getting unhappy with the Clintons.

Think this move in addition to Lynn has to be a major blow to Obama. He has lost the momentum for good.

Let’s face it, when we were losing in Iraq, liberals risked nothing to oppose the war, now that we’ve won, there are twenty-six million elephants in the room, this too is a factor. The high-ground is only (re-) attainable by moving over to the side of the winners.
