Rep Chris Shays Takes On Corrupt Democrat Congress
A must see moment when a GOP Congressman calls on the Democrat Congress to fix the financial mess and the Democrats balk (knowing full well they share a majority of the blame).  Shays states boldly the only reason there are no hearings on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is the problem that started this all is a Congressional mistake Congress won’t face up to. He then goes on to lists (endlessly) the hearings that should be reviewed as to why action was never taken to avoid this meltdown.
Here some items I learned:
- Did America know Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (FM-FM) had less reporting requirements than any other normal company? I sure as didn’t.
- Did you know FM-FM basically bought off opposing lobbyists to halt any challenges against their views? Â I sure didn’t!Â
Watch the whole thing. H/T Reader “ExposeFannieNFreddieNow” (sounds like a political operative – good thing they had some solid information and simply used the congressional record or I might have ignored the point).

Just imagine what it would have done if somone with a national audience could have made these points, especially if they could do it in primetime to a huge audience!
Someone like, say, John McCain last night – oh well. I guess he figures people will find this out on their own. someday.
I have really begun to doubt that he actually wants to win. Given what’s happening financially, that makes sense. Let Obama be the depression president.
… dittos the McCain missed opportunity.
AJ;
Here is something that might be of interest to everyone – more of the misleading Obama and Democrats. (H/T FR). Don’t know what effect it will have, but we need to get all the info out on Obama before the election.
According to published data, Obama was a member of the “New Party” in Illinois in 1996. According to the site:
The ‘New Party’ was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards.
From the October 1996 Update of the DSA ‘New Party’:
“New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races…
Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary).”

There is one “house” that absolutely SHOULD be in foreclosure, due to infestation (‘rats). That would be the one with the dome at the end of Pennsylvania Ave.
No wonder NYT finally had to write about Ayers. John Murtagh is running for NY State Senate in 35th district. Lays out the reason Ayers is relevant in this article:
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10082008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/terror_victims_qs_for_barack_132619.htm
“WHEN John Murtagh was 9 years old, Bill Ayers’ friends tried to kill him. …”
35th district only went Dem in 2006 by VERY narrow margin.
The 35th is socio-demographically very McCain friendly as is most of New York. Pataki did win three times. 35th is in Westchester County, highest real estate taxes in U.S. due to NY Medicaid funding formulas that reuqire each county outside of NYC to pay 1/3 of cost, and failure of NY to contain costs.
Murtagh’s race will keep this in NYC news all month because the 35th is on NYC border.
Will NY-NJ-CT stay blue? 31+15+7 = 53 electoral votes being taken for granted???
