Obama Tried To Stop Victory In Iraq For Political Gain

McCain wants to change DC, Obama wants to change America!

While the global financial markets melt down, some incredible is transpiring in Iraq, the walls of division are literally coming down!

Market by market, square by square, the walls are beginning to come down. The miles of hulking blast walls, ugly but effective, were installed as a central feature of the surge of American troops to stop neighbors from killing one another.

“They protected against car bombs and drive-by attacks,” said Adnan, 39, a vegetable seller in the once violent neighborhood of Dora, who argues that the walls now block the markets and the commerce that Baghdad needs to thrive. “Now it is safe.”

The slow dismantling of the concrete walls is the most visible sign of a fundamental change here in the Iraqi capital. The American surge strategy, which increased the number of United States troops and contributed to stability here, is drawing to a close. And a transition is under way to the almost inevitable American drawdown in 2009.

Emphasis mine. This is from the New York Times no less. The inevitability of the draw down is now due to the inevitability of victory in Iraq. And that inevitable victory is due to George W Bush, General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker defying the Surrendercrats in Congress and the liberal Surrender Media and pushing for success, as promoted by one John McCain. There is an incredible story at the link so definitely drop by and watch this amazing transformation.

And what did Obama do about Iraq, in addition to opposing the Surge and victory? Well, he tried to delay and stop victory from coming to Iraq so he could benefit politically:

At the same time the Bush administration was negotiating a still elusive agreement to keep the U.S. military in Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn’t be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval.

See, it is all about what is best for Obama – not what is best for our troops, our national security or the war ravaged Iraqi people. This is why Obama is just not ready to be Command in Chief. The world owes President Bush a huge debt for staying dedicated to winning Iraq and defeating al-Qaeda. An al-Qaeda victory in Iraq would have led this nation into decades more of wars in the Middle East. Something Obama was willing to have happen to win votes.

McCain wants to change DC, Obama wants to change America!

Scaulen – don’t think liberal or conservative, humor or sarcasm…just think… and afterward, if you don’t agree, thats ok, but if you don’t include statements about the realities of war and the death and destruction it causes ordinary people, the serious suffering involved, in every statement… then you and everybody else loses ALL credibility. Its WAR, people, at least pay respect by acknowledging that the language you use actually applies to real people, not a chess game played from around the world by white dudes behind desks. When an bomb goes off, its a terrible thing. When an american bomb goes off, guess what? also terrible.

    AJ,
Sorry for the mess here. Didn’t mean to comment so many times. Nothing was showing up when I submitted and now everything’s shown up.

1,235 soldiers re-enlist in Baghdad. This is just unreal and more so that these men and their service never received the press coverage they deserved in their home country.

    Expose,

You tripped the spam filter. If you put 3 or more links in a post it goes to the spam filter where I need to release it. Sadly, I get over 400 spam comments a day and occasionally real ones get sucked in.

If it doesn’t show up it means I off doing something else at the moment. I tend to just release them all instead of picking one. I know there are copies.
