They are natural Democrats outside of Cuban parts of South Florida - and even there they are moving left. The polls from New Mexico said Hispanics were motivated almost entirely by economic issues - spreading the wealth, etc. Though Hispanic hostility to Gringo wars also helped Obama. (The Mexican media - so popular in NM - portrayed the Iraq war as one between 'browns' and 'whites'). John Murtha got in too. His courageous stand on the war paid off. The disastrous Iraq war and the name Bush have sunk the Republican Party. When the legacy of open borders is added that's pretty much it for US conservatives. Frankly they deserve it.
