Global Warming Ending Before Obama Can Even Get Warmed Up?

Published by at 8:58 am under All General Discussions,Global Warming

This week has seen some amazing Global Warming – all in the form of record cold and snow in areas that haven’t seen this kind of weather in 30-50 years. It seems mother nature is not cooperating with the Church of Al Gore/IPCC and keeping warm, let alone warming up.

I found this really interesting article that recalls all the failed predictions from the “fear merchants”, as the author calls the alarmists on man-made global warming who have yet to get one damn equation to actually spit out the right predictive answer. Many models predicting pending doom can’t even recreate the historic record when you plug in historic data! They can’t even produce 20-20 hindsight!

And when they do get the equations to work, they indicate man-made CO2 is not the driving component in the Earth’s climate. Go figure.

Anyway, let’s enjoy a few of the all time best failed predictions of Global Warming Doom from down under:

In 2005, Flannery predicted Sydney’s dams could be dry in just two years.

In fact, three years later its dams are 63 per cent full, not least because June last year was its wettest since 1951.

In 1999, Hoegh-Guldberg warned that the Great Barrier Reef was under pressure from global warming, and much of it had turned white.

In fact,
he later admitted the reef had made a “surprising” recovery.

In 2007, he warned that temperature changes of the kind caused by global warming were again bleaching the reef.

In fact, the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network last week said there had been no big damage to the reef caused by climate change in the four years since its last report, and veteran diver Ben Cropp said this week that in 50 years he’d seen none at all.

“We’re actually projecting this year that the North Pole may be free of ice for the first time,” claimed Dr David Barber, of Manitoba University, ignoring the many earlier times the Pole has been ice free.

“It’s hard to see how the system may bounce back (this year),” fretted Dr Ignatius Rigor, of Washington University’s polar science centre.

Tim Flannery also warned “this may be the Arctic’s first ice-free year”, and the ABC and Age got reporter Marian Wilkinson to go stare at the ice and wail: “Here you can see climate change happening before your eyes.”

In fact, the Arctic’s ice cover this year was almost 10 per cent above last year’s great low, and has refrozen rapidly since. Meanwhile, sea ice in the Southern Hemisphere has been increasing.  … Yet Barber is again in the news this month, predicting an ice-free Arctic now in six years. Did anyone ask him how he got his last prediction wrong?

Former US president Bill Clinton later gloated: “It is now generally recognised that while Al Gore and I were ridiculed, we were right about global warming. . . It’s going to lead to more hurricanes.”

In fact, there is still no proof of a link between any warming and hurricanes.

Australia is actually getting fewer cyclones, and last month researchers at Florida State University concluded that the 2007 and 2008 hurricane seasons had the least tropical activity in the Northern Hemisphere in 30 years.

Read the whole thing – it is hilarious. And keep a copy handy when you have to confront the mindless zealots who nag about carbon footprints.BTW – I tend to suggest they hold their breathe (which means the need to stop talking).

The reason this is important is because Obama is probably going to try and salvage his image by going so green the nation’s economy may not make a recovery in his entire time in office:

President-elect Barack Obama has selected two of the nation’s most prominent scientific advocates for a vigorous response to climate change to serve in his administration’s top ranks, according to sources, sending the strongest signal yet that he will reverse Bush administration policies on energy and global warming.

The appointments of Harvard University physicist John Holdren as presidential science adviser and Oregon State University marine biologist Jane Lubchenco as head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which will be announced tomorrow, dismayed conservatives but heartened environmentalists and researchers.

It should concern every tax paying, energy consuming, food buying, clothe wearing consumer out there. Because the essence of the Little Greenies Plan’s for world domination require significant economic hits to roll back CO2 levels, something that may be completely impossible if the CO2 is being driven by the climate changes as the data now shows.

The LGMs (Little Green Maniacs) from the Church of Al Gore/IPCC want to take our money and line their pockets. Make no mistake about it.

Those in power have so much invested in “Global Warming” will they care about the facts. I think not!

  2. dbostan says:

One must not forget that “global warming” is just a way to weaken the American society and economy.
A gramscian tactic, along with the “gay marriage” and the war against Christianity.

Zero is the guy that they were fighting for since the beginning of the 20th century, so be ready for all the anti-American policies to be enacted lickity split, with his demshevik buddies in the Congress and Senate.

What’s troublesome is that the science has always been irrelevant to the zealouts. They’ve been screaming for big government, less freedom, less energy for years and this is just their latest vessel.

  4. Terrye says:

They will tax gas. That is the idea. That is how they will pay for all this.

It’s not “Global Warming” now, where have you been? It’s now “Climate Change”, you don’t think they knew it was Cooling again, and had to come up with something different do you?

Hey, check this out. You know the Phrase “Follow the Money”? This is “Follow The Jersey”:

    The Cerberus Bailout Connection

Bush gave General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC up to $17.4 billion today.

Cerberus bought 80.1 percent of Chrysler from Daimler AG for $7.4 billion in 2007. Cerberus said it doesn’t have the funds necessary to bail out Chrysler.

General Motors sold a 51% stake in its GMAC finance unit to an investor group led by Cerberus Capital Management in November 2006.

On Oct. 19, 2006, John W. Snow — President Bush’s second Secretary of the Treasury — was named chairman of Cerberus.

Dan Quayle is chairman of global investments for Cerberus Capital Management.

Why would George W. Bush choose to bail out two companies controlled by Cerberus Capital Management, which is controlled by Bush cronies?

I wondered why he would break the TARP Law, now I get it.

I hate Government Pork. Check out these stats:

FY 2008 Had the Second-Highest Number of Earmarks in History Despite the Change in Congressional Leadership
Earmarks, or “pork” projects, have escalated in recent years. There were more earmarks in 2005 than from 1991 to 1999 combined. In 2007, there was a dramatic decrease in projects as a result of a year-long continuing resolution. Under the Democratic Congress, earmarks have shot back up to the second-highest level in recent history.

“Compasionate Conservatism” is sure is expensive

Unfortunately, facts have very little to do with the global warming craze or the importance which the free enterprise hating left attaches to the ability of this hoax to cripple the national economy. Scientific evidence that temperature change has nothing to do with the activities of man…well, that will find itself catalogued with Husseins birth certificate and college transcripts.

  7. stevevvs says:

Why no recent posts on Bush defying Congress and the American People, and helping out his Republican Buddies owning most of Chrysler, and proping up the Unions?

Why no posts on the Economic Colaps? The Nationalization of nearly everything?

All Global Warming and Obama. Nothing on the Taliban taking Jizya payment on the roads of Afghanistan from Coalistion Forces, nothing on the Hundreds of Deaths in Iraq from The Religion of Peace.

    Awfull lot missing these days.

From 2001-2008 I count Bush signing into law 73,027 Pork Projects. Holy Cow!
By contrast, Clinton signed into law 16,287, wow, both are awefull! But Bush is ahead by 56,740, man, as a two time Bush Voter, I should be ashamed of myself!

The key here is that “climate change” can no longer finger CO2 as the culprit, and that is huge. The current cooling trend is now being recognized, even on CNN, so the theory that the burning of fossil fuels should be curtailed is now on shaky ground.

We can now make these people look silly by pointing out that yes, maybe the climate is “changing”, but a cooling trend cannot be laid at the feet of CO2, so get off of capitalism’s back-please.

I suppose the only way we can battle the coming global cooling catastrophe is by purchasing SUVs and eating more red meat?
