Need A Good Laugh?

Published by AJStrata at 2:06 pm under All General Discussions

This is one of the funniest moments from TV of all time – Tim Conway’s Siamese Elephants routine from the Carol Burnett show. Poor Dick Van Dyke (on the right end of the couch) can’t even speak – Enjoy!

This was truly a great show—back when entertainers stuck to entertaining and not preaching. Remember when actors and actresses could ad lib and act. So much talent came across Carol Burnett’s show and the actors truly had fun doing it. She is a very classy lady—thanks for the reminder.

Just a little humor on Blago (Rod Blagojevich), soon to be ex-governor. I think he is ok, just your typical american politician. At his recent news conference he quoted a Tennyson poem–I wasn’t familiar with that one. He should have used this Tennyson poem,”into the valley of impeachment rode Blagojevich, politicians to the right of him, politicians to the left of him roared and bitched, but onward, onward rode Blagojevich”.

Thanks, AJ. I remember ‘family night’ watching Carol Burnett, and it was always great humor, with where I now believe the cast’s goal was to make each other lose it laughing! It was great TV when TV was good. Too bad Hollywood no longer has any class.

One word, “talent”, great show, great comedians. Forgot the snork line was coming and almost spewed on my laptop.

This was one of the best of many, many Conway ad-libs. The little monkey walking along the two trunks did in Dick Van Dyke.

It’s not the most funny Tim conway routine; but, still good! Makes you long for the good ol’ days…..when American TV was trully entertaining.

The only show that came close to this in recent memory was “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” Other than that, all we get now is Daytime Soaps during PrimeTime with different names.
