Or as I like to call it The Raw Deal
And this is exactly what Rush was speaking of during his address to the nation. Too bad people can’t just close their eyes and listen.
No kidding. This guy does not know what he is doing.
I like this one:
As the Dow keeps dropping, the President is running out of people to blame.
Latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll from today:
68 percent have a favorable opinion of the president, including 47 percent whose opinion is “very positive” — both all-time highs
By a 48-20 percent margin, Americans believe the Democratic Party would do a better job of getting the U.S. out of recession than the Republican Party.
Just 26 percent view the Republican Party positively, which is an all-time low for the party.
In addition, a combined 56 percent say the previous Bush administration deserved “almost all” of the blame or a “major part” of the blame for the partisanship in Washington, and a combined 41 percent say the same of congressional Republicans.
Yup – you all just keep in telling yourselves that Obama’s in trouble. The rest of the country will keep laughing at you.
Yup, and you just keep getting your “information” from NBC….uh huh, that’s a real unbiased news source. LOL!
I’ll take Scott Rasmussen for the facts any day of the week, thankyouverymuch.
Hmmmm… NBC is a really credible source. The same NBC whose networks employ Chris “Tingling legs” Matthews and Olbermann? I’d love to see the internals of this poll… especially who they polled. It’s terribly easy to get any poll results you want.
Regardless, it’s still too early to judge Obama, or to take faith in any poll. Weren’t Carter’s numbers this high early in his administration? Sorry I don’t know for sure… I was born after he left.
Does it seem odd to anyone else that NBC and WSJ would still be teaming up on polls? I mean, Murdoch owns WSJ. Now that might at first cause some head scratching until people remember that Rupert Murdoch was a Hillary Clinton supporter in the last election.
Obama’s War on the Economy

Some sobering analysis from the George C Marshall Institute.
I don’t know, GuyFawkes, that WSJ poll was of “adults” and they used 43% Dems, 20% Ind, and 30% Repubs. Even with that– the poll shows that although they like Obama, they don’t like his policies. You should also keep in mind that Obama’s favorability rating is almost as high as Jimmy Carter’s was at this point in his Administration. The Rasmussen generic congressional poll is tied again (Dem +1). Obama can stay popular. But, not if he stays on the road he is on (Jimmy Carter on steroids).
So, you’re saying that his favorability is at its highest point ever is a sign that “the road he is on” is headed in the wrong direction?
Oh, sure… that makes TONS of sense.
Guy, if you take off the blinders and read Frogg’s entire post, you’ll notice that Carter was this popular this early in his term.
However, Guy does have a point. if Obama’s favorability remains high, he is a formidable opponent. Let’s face it- most people don’t vote on substance. Empty rhetoric that makes no sense at all outweighs experience. I feel like I’m in high school again, and the 2008 election was the vote for class president. The popular “cool” guy will always win, regardless. Unfortunately so many people didn’t realize the states were higher.
Umm… you weren’t convinced by the fact that he just got voted into the Presidency, despite being a black man with the middle name “Hussein”, as a sign that “he is a formidable opponent”?
Really?
