Cut marksbbr some slack; Richard Nixon’s political career was supposedly over in 1962, after an unsuccessful California governor’s bid (“Well, you wont have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore”).

I suppose we will see, won’t we? Got anything to back up your statement or is it just words? So far it doesn’t look like Palin has hurt herself politically and it is all going to depend on what she does August 1 and thereafter. If she comes out swinging, the Dems are going to be in an even larger world of hurt. I imagine they are going to get quite frantic now in an effort to try to shut her up.

I’m amazed at how many Dem strategist I have heard over the past few days say “Palin can’t run in 2012″ as if her political career is dead now. They keep repeating it over and over again.

Of course, if they REALLY believed that, they would probably NOT be repeating it over and over. “Omm,… can’t run in 2012,… can’t run in 2012,… can’t run in 2012,… omm….”

The trouble appears to be that the statistical models assumed that most of the auto layoffs would happen this month when in fact they happened last month. So, rather than showing what the data actually is showing – a slow but steady increase in unemployment – they are reporting a huge jump last month, then a small drop this month. (to be followed by a jump, then a drop, ad infinitum)

The mathematical modeling is supposed to smooth out the data and make it more reflective of reality. The current crop of geniuses have figured out how to make it do exactly the opposite.

Holding the Democrats’ feet to the fire in a VERY public way would be a great strategy for her. And the Democrats have done about all the damage they can do at this point. If they continue the piling on and attacking her family, it is going to backfire on the Democrats and increase public sympathy for her. There is nothing the American people like better than to see a person down and getting kicked while they are down stand up and start dishing it back.

The left plays this all the time as part of their “shut up” strategy for preventing any opposing message. Rather than try to argue the point being raised, they attack the person bearing the message in very personal ways to distract attention away from the message and onto the individual. It is basically an elementary school playground tactic. Someone points out that an answer in class was incorrect, explains what the correct answer is, and the person with the incorrect answer changes the subject to the accuser’s bed wetting problem. It doesn’t at all address the incorrect answer but it does distract attention away from that point and makes the accuser a point of ridicule. It also makes others watching less likely to raise such points for fear that they will also be made the subject of ridicule.

The left in this country, mainly the Democrat Party is dishonest, despicable, corrupt, and just plain not trustworthy.

The attacks on Palin were also meant to keep other women “in line” by implying that they would get the same treatment. It discouraged some women from vocally supporting her lest they themselves be cast as hillbilly trailer trash better cast on Jerry Springer than on Meet The Press.

At this point I believe we are going to see the bottom fall out from under the support for the Democrats. It is sort of like al Qaida in Iraq. Once people get a belly full of their rule, they come to see the error of their ways. The Democrats aren’t long for Congress and Obama is going to be a one-term President.

Jeb Bush, that is. Right now, I think he is rapidly becoming the strongest candidate standing.

Soon the noise machine on the left will have to come up with some major way to do her in or their value to many will start taking a beating.

Since the VP run, the Dems up in Alaska have polarized to her. She is having more difficulty getting what she wants. She wants to win. She expects results. When she can’t get results she looks for new ways to get results. Her strategy is what it was before, look for an opening.

Despite what the press says, this was not a hasty decision. She is not complaining. It is not because she can’t take the heat. She dropped breadcrumbs that she was going to do this weeks ago (“I don’t need a title”). Yes, she may very well have destroyed any political hops, but remember she is not a typical politician. She has turned it around before.
