Well, this is certainly good news from Rasmussen:

<blockquote>
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They've also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that voters trust the GOP more on economic issues 46% to 41%, showing little change from the six-point lead the party held last month. This is just the second time in over two years of polling the GOP has held the advantage on economic issues. The parties were close on the issue in May, with the Democrats holding a one-point lead.

Voters not affiliated with either party trust Republicans more to handle the economy by a 46% to 32% margin.
</blockquote>

The Dems are tanking.

which, cross, means no later than this fall. By next spring the 2010 campaign for the house seats will already be ramping up - not to mention that the country's mood is going to be much, much, worse.

"but Obama insists, with all fore knowledge, we move forward with both. "

Joe Biden hinted at the reason for this the other day. Said it would be "now or never" and he is probably right. The Dems are going to take a beating in the mid-term elections and if they don't pull a rabbit out of the hat now before their popularity tanks, they will never get it done before the mid terms.

The "stimulus bill" was pay-back to the dems, OK we all get it. Never the less, eventually the economy would probably, inspite of it, come back. TARP stemmed the banking crisis, that is probably true, though there is much we don't know about what "frozen" really means and what could have happened. BUT we all know that "cap and trade" and the "health care" bill would put an unimaginable burden on every sector of the economy, but Obama insists, with all fore knowledge, we move forward with both.

How audacious this President is!
