We Don’t Walk Softly, And We Carry Big Sticks

Some reporting on the new artillery/rocket system possibly used to take out that enemy camp in Pakistand yesterday: The six-pack can be configured to shoot a wide array of rockets and missiles, from cluster bombs to a single missile system with a range of up to 300 kilometres. Himars can fire a variety of non-cluster […]

1400 Militants Killed? 600 Detainees In US Custody?

I have no idea what to make of this report because the numbers are staggering: Pakistan on Friday said that a total of about 1,400 people have been killed in over 100 military operations in South and North Waziristan Agencies and asked the international community to extend over a billion dollars for development schemes to […]

Updates From The War On Terror Front Lines

The US news media seems incapable of performing its most basic duty: informing the people of the United States of critical events in the world. It seems to have decided to bequeath that responsibility to foreign news media organizations. OK, so be it. First from Ramadi we have more Sunni Sheiks turning on al Qaeda […]

Waziristan Still In Upheaval

The Taliban are desperately trying to broker a ceasefire as it appears the fighting between foreign fighters tied to al Qaeda and local tribesman may be spreading: “Around 130 foreigners were killed and 62 captured, and the clashes are now spreading to other areas,” he told reporters at Governor’s House. The governor denied the government […]
