On a day of celebration regarding Zarqawi’s death, Reuters schleps for Al Qaeda in this despicable reporting: Michael Berg, whose son Nick was beheaded in Iraq in 2004, said on Thursday he felt no sense of relief at the killing of the al Qaeda leader in Iraq and blamed President Bush for his son’s death. […]

Folks, I would like to crow a bit when I predicted a while back the Coalition was closing in on him. Seems I was right! Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the mastermind behind hundreds of bombings, kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq, was killed Wednesday evening by an air strike northwest of Baghdad, U.S. and Iraqi officials said […]

Reader JWM provided the example argument which could bring the conservative coalition back together on immigration and the law. Of course, the knee-jerk far right would need to stop emoting and be willing to compromise. I will not hold my breathe – just offer the obvious solution. JWM provided the following example of the dark […]

I think a reader at KOS nailed it on what killed the Dems chances in CA-50, and it wasn’t immigration. It was a very important symbol. That was probably what made Latino voters go Rep in the end, despite the immigration debacle going on in the House. Religion trumps policies every time.

Bush is clever, very clever. He plays politics at such a refined level the pundits and pols require weeks to understand what he is doing in the world of public opinion. That is because the pundits and pols do not have roots in, interchange with, or an understanding of Main Street USA. Bush does. Take […]

Geez, When will the media and their leftwing zealots stop leaking national security information for petty political points? Anyone could figure out that terrorist suspects are detected and captured all over the world and need to be transported from around the world. I mean – duh! So why does the press need to go out […]

Ed Morrissey has noticed a another Anne Coulter disaster-gaffe in her interview with Matt Lauer promoting her new book (which I will not be reading): LAUER: On the 9-11 widows, an in particular a group that had been critical of the administration: COULTER: “These self-obsessed women seem genuinely unaware that 9-11 was an attack on […]

The news media has a knack for hyper-irony. One of Joe Wilson’s comrades in the media who wrote about his lies and slanders prior both prior to his self outing in the NY Times, and in concert with that outing, has written about the possibility of journalists being investigated for leaking national security details: Senior […]

In what was to be the ‘throw the bums out’ bellweather house race for Democratic hopes to take control of Congress this year, the Democrats came up short: The California Congressional seat vacated by jailed former representative Randy “Duke” Cunningham will remain in Republican hands, after a lobbyist and former GOP lawmaker narrowly defeated a […]
