I have written about this before (see here for a post from last month), but it seems people are finally noticing one of the fathers of violent Islamism has condemned al-Qaeda for creating a disaster for Islam. He is not the only voice from the extremist movement backing away from al-Qaeda. I noted in this […]

The news from Iraq is following a pattern that should be no surprise to those watching events as Iraq comes out of its dark dance with al-Qaeda. Ever since the Muslim street in Iraq determined al-Qaeda was the real enemy the country has fought its way towards a brighter future. And along this path we […]

There are serious problems with the protection of weapons grade nuclear materials, as illustrated by this shocking story of four sophisticated intruders rummaging around a South African nuclear plant for almost an hour before being accidentally discovered by an off duty guard. This incursion is a clear sign the wrong people can possibly get their […]

Want to know what’s wrong with the GOP at the moment? It’s in a muddle. The civil war the far right began imploded the governing coalition. What a waste government can be. Michelle Malkin has the latest news on the new federal outlawing 100 watt bulbs: Tucked into the legislation is a provision that mandates the phase-out of the 125-year-old incandescent bulb in the next four to 12 years in favor of a new generation of trendy energy-efficient Gorebulbs. Apparently the […]

We did experience a peak in the Earth’s temperatures in 1998 and 2001 (though NASA had to correct the record and note 5 of the hottest years were in the late 1930’s, including the hottest year). But since that period the global temperatures have remained steady, and this winter we are seeing some major drops […]

And no, it was not Joe Lieberman, it was US Congressman Donnelly who is not afraid to be objective and provide for some reasonable optimism given the blatant trend lines in Iraq: U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly returned from a second trip to Iraq in five months encouraged that the mission there is going better and […]
