They Are Not “Bush” Tax Cuts!!

Published by under All General Discussions

Good lord, you’d think the GOP would have a clue about simple, basic messaging. OUR current tax rates have been in place for 9 years. They are OUR tax rates and any increase to them should be called what they are – Democrat-Obama Tax Hikes! How hard is this?

TSA Official Exposes Truth About Pat Downs

Published by under All General Discussions

While we experience Wikileaks’ form of ‘transparent government’, it is a good time to also consider what has not been told to the traveling public regarding the new, lame TSA infringements on individual freedoms. Everyone after 9-11 was more than happy to have their luggage groped and their bodies scanned for weapons. That seemed reasonable [...]

Did President Obama Make Wikileaks Possible?

Published by under All General Discussions

The Wikileaks diplomatic dump is going to roil the western world for a while, but remember – all the world’s leaders know much of this already. It is the public which has been kept in the dark (as well as some enemy states). What struck me, though, was this gem of an article from Politico [...]

Wikileaks Wakes World To Real Threats

Published by under All General Discussions

Wikileaks is a liberal nutcase gone mad. The folks behind it believe by exposing classified material the US is going to veer dramatically leftward politically. It is another clear example of left wing incompetence. All that is happening from Wikileaks is: Confirmation that our enemies are real and very dangerous (here and here) Confirmation the [...]

Why Is Homeland “Security” Confiscating Domain Names?

Published by under All General Discussions

Loo, I am 100% against the theft of intellectual property. But I fail to understand why Homeland Security is involved with the confiscation of domain names – especially without a trial and ‘guilty’ verdict. Theft is a crime that should be investigated and tried by the FBI. It has nothing to do with Homeland Defense. [...]

We are going to be experiencing problems because we got a top of the page link from Watts Up With That. Will be turning off comments for a while to see if we can weather the storm! Thanks Anthony and Joe!

Teachable Moment: Probable Cause vs Possible Harm

Published by under All General Discussions

Leave it to the Obama White House to be completely clueless about the law regarding invasive searches (since they don’t have a clue on just about everything they face). Andy McCarthy sums it up best: But what makes the search appropriate is the record of the people involved, not the abstract possibility of violence. A [...]

This Panicked Administration Has Turned Dictatorial, Not Democratic

The question at the core of the TSA security mess is what individual rights are We The People willing to give up for security. Are we willing to be groped and scanned, or should we use sophisticated profiling to detect evil human beings bent on mass murder? We face blood thirsty enemy in the form [...]

Profiling Verses Molesting?

Published by under All General Discussions

Has our nation’s security come down to a choice between profiling and sexual molestation? I chose profiling. Put it to a vote and let the people decide. It is our country after all. DC needs to take directions and stop giving them.

No One In DC “Gets It” Yet

Published by under All General Discussions

As I wrote before, there needs to be binding conditions attached to any bill raising the debt ceiling: Cancel all the unspent funds left in the Stimulus Bill Permanently extending all the current tax rates (no need to call them Bush’s tax cuts, they are OUR current tax rates). Freezing Obamacare for 4 years until [...]

When A President Believes In Silly Fantasy …

Published by under All General Discussions

Could President Obama become one of this nation’s worst one-term presidents of all time? The historic drubbing his party took this month sure could leave some to that conclusion. His naive stimulus efforts, chasing those mythical federal ‘shovel ready’ jobs, have proven once and for all the impotence of Keynesian theory. The fact more people [...]

“White House Insider” Turns Into Kooky Tin Hat Fiction

Published by under All General Discussions

So, the GOP has won an historic election in the House of Representatives and in state governments across the nation. So what can a cornered and desperate democrat party do? It can trick the new GOP members into the lame game of conspiracy theories. It can lay out some poisonous bread crumbs that will bring [...]

Good News On Unemployment Extensions

Published by under All General Discussions

People will not be sitting on unemployment for years anymore, waiting for the perfect job: The House of Representatives on Thursday voted down a measure that would have reauthorized extended unemployment insurance for another three months, leaving no clear path forward to prevent the benefits from lapsing as scheduled on Nov. 30. Without a reauthorization, [...]

Want To Create More Debt? Here’s The Price

Published by under All General Discussions

If the Congress needs to raise the debt ceiling then there will be a price to be paid for government not operating within its means. None of the GFY 11 budgets are in place so we have the perfect leverage at this time. I would tie the debt ceiling to: (1) Cancel all the unspent [...]
