Obama’s Political Game Turns Deadly

For President Bush, Katrina became a toxic political subject due to dead bodies floating in the waters to underscore the human crisis. But at least he responded.

For President Obama the question is, will the floating bodies of young “Dreamers” finally stop the President from playing politics and start playing leader of the free world?

The life jackets helped many make it across the Rio Grande from Reynosa, the Mexican city across the water from Mission, just west of McAllen. Sources say they come over on rafts ferried by the so-called “coyotes,” the human smugglers whose means of transport are rendered useless whenever discovered by the Border Patrol. Many don’t make it across the river; multiple sources became emotional when recounting their discoveries of small, lifeless bodies washed up along the riverbank.”

And here is a picture of the liberal news media, and their response to the games our commander-in-chief plays:

Speaking of the children, does Obama know what kind of lawlessness he has created:

Authorities in Parker County have arrested a man suspected of molesting a 9-year-old girl as she slept in her home. The man, 35-year-old Israel Andrade, has been deported from the United States on four different occasions.

Obama Makes Bush Look Great On Katrina

Published by under Illegal Immigration,Katrina

President Obama and his “handlers” assume a certain level of ignorance by the general population (aided by a biased media willing to sacrifice their honor and morality for the political cause). For example, the method by which President Obama is creating a border crisis to extort legislation out of Congress requires a certain amount of ‘forgetfulness’ if not ignorance when it comes to Administration responses to past disasters and crisis.

President Bush was unfairly tagged as aloof because he did not want to divert much needed rescue resources to fly in and do a photo op of the damage left behind by Katrina (and left behind by a Democrat Mayor and Governor who refused to order evacuations in time). But even after the criticism he did respond – and did so immediately.

In hindsight, little of this seems fair. What Bush saw as he flew over the battered region shocked him. The next day, he publicly pledged $10.5 billion in federal aid, enlisted his father and Bill Clinton to help in recovery efforts, and spoke about the tragedy from the Rose Garden. The next day, he headed down there, where he literally put his arms around shell-shocked survivors, many of them black people. Bush returned again in mid-September and made a nationally televised address from Jackson Square in New Orleans.

President Bush took the heat because he wanted to end the crisis, not exploit it. What he did was act:

1. Within four days of Katrina’s landfall on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, then-President George W. Bush signed a $10.4 billion aid package and ordered 7,200 National Guard troops to the region. A few days later, he requested — and Congress approved — an additional $51.8 billion in aid.

2. Hundreds of firefighters from other cities who volunteered to help in the response were rerouted to Atlanta, where they sat through two days of presentations on sexual harassment and the history of FEMA before being sent to New Orleans.

9. Before the storm hit, Amtrak ran equipment out of the city. With rooms for several hundred evacuees, they offered the spots to the city. Officials declined, so the train left with no passengers.

FEMA  had pre-positioned supplies and volunteers inland of Katrina’s impact zone, which meant he acted proactively as well as after the damage was done.

More importantly, President B ush moved out and acted – he  did not wait for (or extort) Congress to act. Probably because Katrina was an act of nature.

Where the Border Crisis is the act of a desperate, lame-duck President who has shown his true colors. And incompetent bully:

When he’s not berating Congress for not passing his ballooning supplemental request fast enough, Obama harangues Republicans in the House for not passing the Senate’s immigration reform bill – a legacy initiative Obama promised would be one of his accomplishments in his first year in office.

He has ignored Democratic lawmakers who demanded the president see the border for himself, preferring instead to maintain his distance from the crisis so as not to be too closely associated with it.

The guy insults those he needs assistance from. Which shows he does not care.

Obama has not called out the national guard. He has not changed the policy of holding children from Central America while deporting those from Mexico. And he sure has hell has not gone to ground zero to see first hand what his political games are causing.

He is an elitist out of his element.  Theory has fallen to reality, and Obama’s inability to function as a leadrr is now on full display. He has and always will be an ankle-biting back-bencher.

And he is so arrogant, he actually thinks he is winning the optics and the political debate. Guess he needs a wake up call come November…

Illegals Not Required To Have ID On Commercial Planes?

Un-Effing-Believable!

Illegal aliens are being allowed to fly on commercial airliners without valid identification, according to the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). “The aliens who are getting released on their own recognizance are being allowed to board and travel commercial airliners by simply showing their Notice to Appear forms,” NBPC’s Local 2455 Spokesman, Hector Garza, told Breitbart Texas.

“This is not the CBP [Customs and Border Protection] or another federal agency renting or leasing an aircraft, these are the same planes that the American public uses for domestic travel,” said Garza. “This just adds insult to injury.

After patting down grandmas, grandpas and little kids for years who were all US Citizens we see this?

Spokesman Garza continued, “We do not know who these people are, we often have to solely rely on who they say they are, where they say they came from, and the history they say they have. We know nothing about most of them, ICE releases them into the American public, and now they are boarding aircraft at will with a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce themselves.”

Obama’s administration is effing out of control!

Obama Is Afraid To Face Mess He Created

Published by under All General Discussions

Want to know why President Obama will not go to the US border and see the humanitarian crisis he committed?

He’s afraid.

He is definitely fed up with being President. He sees his legacy in the tank already. Outside being the first African American President, his record will be one of a string of epic failures. The classic example if an Elitist Theoretician with no real world experience hitting the walls of reality.

Obamacare is a disaster. A marginally few more people are now covered, but everyone else who HAD insurance is paying a huge cost in premiums, co-pays, lack of access and lower quality service. Guess which number is bigger – those “newly insured” or those “newly screwed” by Obamacare?

The “screwed” outnumber the “newly insured” by orders of magnitude. And they vote.

Same for the economy as deficits rise, shovel ready jobs never appeared and Obamacare forces everyone into part time work and out of career jobs.

World Peace? A shambles.  The man who won the Nobel Prize of Peace has overseen more violence and unrest than any other modern President.

And we could go on and on with the IRS, Veterans Administration, Benghazi….

The man is consistently pathetic on execution. When you compare his rhetoric to reality it is tragic (no photo ops on the border, only in pool halls, restaurants, golf courses, etc) .

But it is more than running away from the stifling cage of the White House, where he has lost his ability to lead. On the border Obama would have to come face to face with the actual human carnage he is allowing to simmer so he can play political games. His focus is on politics.

He cannot afford to face this:

A reporter touring a detainment center in Texas noted a blank, lost look among some of the younger children. Every mother knows what that suggests. Children who cry and wail anticipate comfort: That’s why they’re crying, to alert those who care for them that something is wrong. But little children who are blank, withdrawn, who don’t show or at some point know what they’re feeling—those children are in trouble.

President Obama is afraid to face this:

Obama’s two-year ‘amnesty’ for illegal immigrant minors sparks TWELVE-FOLD spike in numbers pouring across border

Link here.

Clearly if Obama had to see this for himself it might cause him to put humanity over politics.  Or maybe not.  The guy may have gone all cold inside now that he decided he is not going to be President (defending the Constitution) and instead has turned some kind of rabid bear on the rampage.

Obama’s trip to Colorado and Texas this week took place against the backdrop of a burgeoning crisis on the Mexican border, where tens of thousands of children have been apprehended seeking entry into the United States. In Dallas, Obama dismissed the idea of heading farther south for a border visit as a “photo op” — not long after those photo ops showing him shooting pool and sipping beer in Denver.

Awaiting the soon to come Obama-strich cartoon:

As with all his liberal half-baked ideas, the real-world in implications of his open borders madness was completely missed. And so President Obama – the first African American President – is the Democrat who is throwing African Americans under the bus:

The black unemployment rate is almost 11 percent, far higher than that of any other group profiled by labor statistics. African Americans are disproportionately employed in lower-skilled jobs – the very same jobs immigrants take. As Steven Camarota asked in a recent column, why double immigration when so many people already aren’t working?

Black attorney and member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Peter Kirsanow, serves as one of the lone voices of reason, repeatedly outlining the harm amnesty will cause black Americans. In a 2013 letter to the Congressional Black Caucus, he wrote: “The obvious question is whether there are sufficient jobs in the low-skilled labor market for both African-Americans and illegal immigrants. The answer is no.” Kirsanow’s statistics demonstrate the way in which immigration impacts the wages and employment opportunities of black males and hurts the black community.

Which is why we will see more and more of this:

The fact is, to help our economy and bring back high paying jobs the United States needs to LOWER the immigration numbers – as it did a century ago:

By stressing the opposite option — reductions in legal immigration — during his campaign against Cantor, victorious economics professor Dave Brat has suddenly given hope to the many members of Congress whose immigration policy vision for wage-earning Americans has been blocked by their parties’ leaders. Echoing themes articulated tirelessly by Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., Brat argues for dramatic cuts in future visas for immigrant and other foreign labor, The purpose is to allow the labor supply to tighten, raise wages and make it more likely that employers will recruit from the neglected American populations in today’s economy.

This is a prescription that has worked well in the past. Perhaps the most stunning example was 100 years ago, when the outbreak of World War I abruptly stopped a three-decades-old massive importation of immigrant labor into the United States.

Northern manufacturers responded by aggressively recruiting, training and employing the still-living freed slaves and their descendants. Since the 1880s, manufacturers had virtually ignored this source of workers, preferring to send ships to Europe to bring in immigrants to expand their factories. But 1914 began a domestic people movement from plantations to cities that has been celebrated in literature and art as “The Great Migration.” It was the start of a decades-long mass movement of black Americans into the non-agrarian economy of the nation and the building of a large black middle class. But it happened only after easy access to foreign labor was removed.

Supply and Demand 101. Easy access to foreign labor who are willing to work for much less does NOT increase wages.

It is clear President Obama is frustrated. But his frustration is really due to his world view being too simplistic, too rotten with flawed assumptions and too filled by half-baked concepts. His intellect has always been in over simplifying complex issues so he could pretend to solve them with easy solutions. His opponents are not the only straw men, but his ideas for combating these straw men are also built of straw.

If President Obama had to ever face reality instead of his straw-built liberal fantasies he might not emotionally survive the ordeal. That is why he is being so “stubborn” about being forced to go to see what he has wrought.

He could fix this now. He has turned over so many laws unilaterally he could rescind DACA and send the National Guard to the border. He could use FEMA to fund transportation back home for all these people. He could do a lot – now. He created this Katrina, now he must fix it.

Update: The insanity continues as those using the lost children of Central America has political props decide to veto the wishes of said children:

… can’t we deport them with their cooperation? No way, say amnesty fans. You can’t get legal consent from a minor for something like that; they’re bound to feel coerced and “volunteer” for removal even if they don’t want to go. A hearing is the only way. And if most of them, after being released, decide to vanish into the United States and never show up for that hearing, hey. Just another example of “due process” being used to subvert the legal process entirely.

Face it, the left could care less what happens to these kids. They are just pawns on a chess board. Too bad the left only knows checkers. Recall, unaccompanied minors for Mexico and Canada get deported ASAP. That IS the law,

Obama’s Immigration/Border Madness

The Petulant Presidency

Man, has President Obama checked out or what!

Not only is Obama having his Katrina moment, unlike President Bush (who did not cause the Hurricane that hit the Gulf Coast of America) Obama has created a nuclear version of the moment. The border crisis is his. But now he is  trying to pretend no one can force him to deal with the mess of his own making!

His Petulantcy is in full stride:

He said they ended up compromising by agreeing to have Obama meet with Rick Perry and participating in an immigration round table, which allowed them to stand firm while still showing concern about the issue at hand.

“They can say they went to Texas, they talked about immigration, they had an important meeting with the governor down there who’s dealing with this, but then they were still able to stand their ground and say, ‘Hey, we didn’t get bullied in going to the border.’”

Imagine George W Bush saying you can’t bully me into going to New Orleans or the Gulf Coast?? No you CAN’T MAKE ME!

ROTFLMAO!

The news media arm of the Political Industrial Complex that runs the Beltway Bubble must be wondering what happened. I tell you what happened. The Lame Duck has quit being President and is now the guy in the Oval Office doing whatever  he pleases. Obama knows their are enough sycophants in the news media to protect him from too much flack.  Look at that Chuck Todd statement from the White House and realize the implications. He refuses to look concerned. He does not want to be tarnished with the crisis. Kids? What kids?

If Obama cannot be bullied to see his own mess first hand, how can he claim Congress must be bullied to clean it up?

And why should they?

Since His Imperialness has decided he can move funds without congressional approval (a clear violation of the US Constitution), he can get his $3.8 Billion form wherever he wants. Let the man stew in his own juices. Let him deal with this kind of commentary from his groupie news media:

The president appears paralyzed, but that is not the case. The administration has made the conscious decision in the case of the immigration crisis not to attempt to resolve it with vigor, preferring instead to allow the Congress to act in tandem with the White House in order to both effect a comprehensive solution and to prevent the president from being personally linked to the border crisis.

To the press, which has always been enamored with the robust executive, Obama’s White House seems stunned and unable to manage crisis communications. That was the subject of Tuesday’s First Read Minute, hosted by NBC News Senior Political Editor Mark Murray and National Political Writer Carrie Dann: “Why can’t the Obama administration deal with crisis?”

“This has been a growing problem, but it’s really ballooned in the last couple weeks as there’s been more press around these kids who are coming unaccompanied, and it’s really just dominating the narrative for the White House,” Dann said. “And it seems like something that the White House could have seen coming. This wasn’t a problem that suddenly exploded overnight. It’s been growing since 2009.”

She observed that the White House seems to be reactive to crises rather than proactive. “And that reaction, always kind of being controlled by events rather than controlling events, has been a problem for this White House when it comes to this crisis management story,” Murray agreed.

The problem is obvious. Obama is playing politics inside the bubble without any concern to the optics as seen from the electorate. He is is not going to come to Perry’s land and lift a finger! He wants Perry’s Texas to submit to Obama’s vision of the new (bankrupt) America! He does not want to deal with the crisis! He has checked out.

Obama could care less what impact it has on anyone – even Democrats. Now he is going to get back at all those who stood in his way.

Pure and transparent Petulance:

pet·u·lant

Time To Impeach Obama? Not Yet

Governor Sarah Palin came out today to make a great opening argument for Impeachment of President Obama. However, the political repercussions of Impeachment probably would push the decision to Impeach into the next Congress, which will be sworn in January 2015.

Palin’s concerns are valid:

Because of Obama’s purposeful dereliction of duty an untold number of illegal immigrants will kick off their shoes and come on in, competing against Americans for our jobs and limited public services.

The federal government is trillions of dollars in debt, many cities are on the verge of insolvency, our overrun healthcare system, police forces, social services, schools, and our unsustainably generous welfare-state programs are stretched to the max.

President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here. It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he continues to make up his own laws as he goes along, and, mark my words, will next meddle in the U.S. Court System with appointments that will forever change the basic interpretation of our Constitution’s role in protecting our rights.

I noted in a previous post Obama’s jettison of the constitutional checks and balances of our government processes and his reckless and unilateral implementation of fantasy liberal dogma is going to be a very teachable moment. It will propel Democrats out of elected office in 2012, making 2010 look like a victory for Big Government.

But that also means there will be a new Congress come 2015, and they will have to make the decision on Impeachment. Not this Congress.

Palin is beginning the discussion, and giving American voters a heads up and a chance to discuss the idea. Right now there is no political will on Main Street America for Impeachment. None.

But that “will” probably will form over this coming year as the damage from Obama’s healthcare mess, his immigration mess and his economic mess as full times jobs fall by the way side and everyone is fighting for low wage part time work. Not to mention the VA, IRS and Beghazi scandals and the melting down “world order”.

Palin is right to make the impeachment case. But this Congress (and therefore this year) should be about debating the matter. Let the new Congress make the call.

We have suffered through 6 years of Obama’s foolishness and recklessness. Yes, he is damaging the  country and hurting people. Some are even dying of neglect (see VA scandal). But while Obama has gone lawless Emperor, we the voters need to show restraint.  Let this year make the case for the new Congress and let them decide.

I am not saying do not Impeach – like some are saying. I am saying this is not the time to take that step one way or the other. Given Obama’s imperial actions, nothing should be taken off the table.

Now is not the time, no matter how bad it gets over the coming months.

Criminal, Vicious Acts At Veterans Administration

Published by under VA Scandal

My father passed away recently (no, that is not a picture of us, but it does represent his final day on this planet with us). He was a WWII veteran who fought for this country in Europe, North Africa and the Pacific. He volunteered to take on the evil in this world in the late 1930’s, before there was even a declaration of War for the United States. He was the epitome of the Greatest Generation.

His passing was gentle, but made that way from a great hospice service provided by private medical insurance. Though he was eligible for VA medical services, my father wisely stayed clear of them most of his life.

So when I see a story like this, and think of what kind of torture and pain my father would have suffered if someone had stolen his final medications and replaced them with water I seethe with anger:

Vials of morphine were systemically stolen from a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center and replaced with water and saline so that dying veterans got the wrong treatments, a longtime VA nurse told The Daily Caller.

“A nurse taking care of hospice patients over the past year had been diverting vials of morphine,” said Valerie Riviello, a 28-year veteran nurse at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. “Those patients that were dying in hospice were not getting their intended pain medication.”

Management became aware of the recurring theft without reporting it to higher levels of governance within the VA system, said Riviello, a Florence Nightingale Award winner for nursing.

Both the thieving nurse and her management should be in jail.  I know why management hid this from upper levels.  This kind of act, going on for a year, would rightfully impact their compensation packages. Greed. Plain and simple.

Stealing a veterans pain medication is the lowest of low – right up their with child rape. It is a vicious and callous act.

Where is America’s Department of JUSTICE

Obama Pushing California Back Into GOP Camp

Obama’s lame duck madness does not seem to be abating, but it does seem to be backfiring. Obama has clearly gone all Imperial – jettisoning all pretense that he recognizes and respects (let alone defends) the checks and balances of our laws and constitution. His frustration with having to work with people of diverse beliefs (which the far left never has been capable of doing over the long haul) has snapped his judgement.

He is going to show America what it would be like to live under liberal dogma.

Maybe this will be good for America. To see what happens when naive ideologues impose government mandates on a free and independent people. Let the foul ups come. Embrace the teachable moments here.

Obama’s attempt to provide immigration refugee camps in California (and elsewhere) is proving to be politically quite toxic. While the immigration wave was contained to deep red Texas there was no major upheaval in the balance of power in the US. But as that wave spreads out, there will be repurcussions.

Obama’s federal guards are forcing communities to take in tens of thousands of undocumented people of questionable background and intent (here I mean we have no idea if these people are criminals, free loaders, wanting a better life or just visiting family). This heavy hand action is producing heated resistance:

The transfer and release of the migrants has created a strong divide between those who want to help and those who don’t want them here at all. Protesters blocked buses that were supposed to arrive at a Murrieta border patrol center on Tuesday.

“When the buses come, you are going to see Americans that are willing to throw themselves under the bus, that’s what you are going to see,” demostrator Greg Allison said ahead of the migrants’ arrival. “I don’t care if I lose a limb. Even if the buses get past me and I lose a limb, guess what? The rest of the country is going to take notice.”

If this type of reaction begins repeating across the country that would be amazing.  And it probably will.

But let’s focus on California and how that state will react.  I think Obama and his liberal sycophants misunderstand how California thinks as a community. Yes, they are liberal and hate all things Bush and Tea Party (mostly because they are very naive about such topics). But they are not open border types – not at all.

Back in 2012 the Field Poll queried Californians on the issues of immigration and amnesty. This is a good poll to assess given its distance in time from current events and 2012 was a high water mark for President Obama. He won reelection that year and he was so much more popular.

California was supportive of finding paths to citizenship for immigrants currently in the country (for some reasonable period) in 2012. However, their  views on open boarders were quite the opposite. First, the question of citizenship for immigrants currently in the US:

What California voters say government policy should be toward illegal immigrants currently residing in the U.S.

Allow illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S. and become citizens, but only if they meet certain requirements over a period of time

67%

Allow illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S. to work, but only for a limited time

14%

Deport all illegal immigrants back to their home country

13%

No opinion/refused

6%

Large majorities of Democrats (79%) and independents (69%) support granting illegal immigrants [living in the US] a path to citizenship.

If you myopically rely on the response to this one question you might think California would welcome Obama’s wave of random immigrants. And you would be wrong.

Like most of America, California is nuanced and has certain boundaries it prefers to not cross on every issue. Check out these responses on other aspects of immigration:

For example, while a majority of Democrats (56%) support granting California driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, three in four Republicans (77%) are opposed, as are 58% of independents.

Majorities oppose granting illegal immigrants the same entitlements that legal residents of the state get in two other areas – receiving tuition discounts at the state’s public universities (61% to 33%) and having access to government health and financial assistance benefits (65% to 27%).

What we see here is an acceptance for those who have lived and worked in America for sometime.  An acceptance for those who put down roots and have become part of the community. But in terms of providing support (read tax dollars) to illegal immigrants, we begin to see a change of heart. To come here you must be self supportive and earn the benefits of this great country. Immigrants are not wanted if all they do is sit on the dole.

Check out this little factoid about the current problem:

Since the federal government isn’t providing any funding, non-profits and community-based groups, will bear the financial burden of transitioning the migrants into American society, said Luz Gallegos, of the Training Occupational Development Educating Communities Legal Center in Perris.

“Organizations across the Inland Empire, even cities, are coming forward and saying, ‘We’re here to help,'” she said.

It is clear from the polling Californians are not ready to empty their treasury over the long term to deal with this influx of humanity.  If they balked at driver’s licenses, tuition assistance and health care what makes anyone think the current chaos will sit well?

Then there is the nail in the coffin of Obama’s current madness with open borders:

Voters in the survey were also asked whether the number of immigrants allowed to come to live in the U.S. from Latin America and Asia should be increased, cut back or kept the same. In each case, pluralities or majorities of California voters favored keeping this at current levels.

Regarding the number of immigrants allowed into the U.S. from Latin America 45% favor keeping this at current levels, while 18% support increasing it and 26% favor reducing it.

Californians DO NOT want more immigrants coming in. Only 18% support that idea. 71% prefer to keep the levels the same or reduce them.  This 71% will not like what is happening with the flood of refugees coming into their state, consuming their resources.

Some other factors to consider, if these people were from Mexico they would be sent back immediately:

A tide of Central Americans illegally entering the United States has overwhelmed a system already buckling under the weight of the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Unlike undocumented Mexican migrants, who are often immediately deported, the U.S. detains and processes Central Americans, who are eventually released and given a month to report to immigration offices.

Many never show up and join the undocumented population, according to the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing Border Patrol agents.

So, there is a case for just sending these people back as we do others. That leaves the Feds open to a lot of flack about why this crowd must stay when others do not.

What does this all portend? Well the tone death and mad White House is not going to see this coming, anymore than they saw any of the resistance to their mad schemes coming. They are so sure they are morally superior, they don’t care what the masses think. They actually think they will be praised for this mess!

Obama’s Frustration Pushing Him To Dig Deeper Hole For Dems

Update: Michael Goodwin makes a similar point to mine below:

Let me be clear: Obama is flirting with disaster. This and other polls show he is losing ground with every group, including African-Americans.

Losing the consent of the governed is a profound event, and there is no easy path back to public grace. The one certainty is that Obama’s angry defiance will dig him a deeper hole.

Read the whole thing – end update

I have to laugh as desperation on the political left and in the White House has unsettled President Obama to such a degree that he has doubled down on actions that will not only lose the Senate to the GOP, but cement his legacy as an incompetent and naive leader.

As I read this politically tone-death article in the Washington Post I realized how well it illustrates the depth of ignorance in the Political Industrial Complex that lives inside the DC Beltway. Let’s start with this correct observation:

President Obama’s displeasure with gridlock in Washington — and with the Republicans he blames for it — has been rising for months. This week it has boiled over.

Consensus-seeking long has been part of the president’s self-perception. He suggests he is the conciliator-in-waiting, lacking only a willing hand across the aisle. But the longer he has faced opposition from enough House Republicans to block action on a series of bills, the more he’s tried to break the gridlock by seeking to capitalize politically.

Whether President Obama has fooled himself into believing he really, truly is the Great Uniter or simply has dooped the author of this article [Dan Balz] is irrelevant.  It could be they are both equally delusional. But Balz does nail Obama’s constant swiping at straw men who he tries to tar his opposition with. Straw men tend to put up barriers to consensus and make the creator of the straw men lazy. Why deal with such creatures (i.e., the straw men) when you are so morally superior in every way!

After all, it was His Glory-ness who was going to make the waters recede and heal the planet – if not for that pesky other political party and their voters!

Apparently, Obama is just now realizing that building up resistance in a government of checks and balances really messes with your mojo:

In the face of widespread disaffection toward Washington and with congressional approval ratings falling below 10 percent, the president wants to be seen as the one person trying to take action on behalf of people. Whatever he can to do to separate himself from other politicians in Washington, the better.

Uh, not “whatever“!

I mean, if Obama declared martial law or went on a murdering rampage against political opponents I am sure that would not help is approval ratings.  So one has to wonder why acts of lesser rampant disregard for the constitution and separation of powers look like a political win? Probably because desperation makes lots of really bad ideas look really good in the heat of the moment:

“We’re not always going to be able to get things through Congress, at least this Congress, the way we want to,” Obama said at his Cabinet meeting. “But we sure as heck can make sure that the folks back home know that we’re pushing their agenda.”

Talk about being blind to the real America. America did not want their health care system FUBAR’d with higher costs, nearly no choice of doctor and totally inept implementation. People are dying who need care. That was NOT what was promised and NOT our agenda.

America does not want a flood of the world’s needy crashing in on our already stressed local communities.  The Obama economy has been a 6 year hangover of deficit spending. We don’t have the resources to keep our own house in order, let alone try and save the BILLIONS of less fortunate souls on this planet. Update: And America sure as hell doesn’t want universal amnesty – which would be followed by fast track citizenship! – end update.

America does not want a VA where our military veterans needlessly die on multi-year wait lists while Bureaucrats cook the books to get their bonuses.

America does not want higher taxes. Does not want higher debt. Does not want rampant incompetence where politically elite buddies walk away from failed government programs with their pockets lined with tax payer money and nothing but ashes in their wake.

Obama is not pushing “our” agenda.  He is pushing His Agenda. And more and more people are coming to realize this. That is why he and the democrats are hemorrhaging independents.

How incompetent is Obama and his sycophant handlers inside the Beltway Bubble? This speaks volumes:

Obama’s goal in all this is obvious. He desperately wants to avoid seeing the Senate fall into Republican hands. The GOP needs to gain only six seats to take full control of Congress for Obama’s final two years in office.

His public appearances, despite whatever comments he makes about his desire to work with Congress, have been designed to sharpen the partisan divisions, to belittle the Republicans, and to say to middle-class families and especially unmarried women that he’s with them and the Republicans aren’t.

Gridlock in DC is not a bad thing. If he was smart he would see how America is reacting to his actions on the southern border, his  IRS targeting Americans getting involved with the political process, his HHS bumbling Obamacare, his VA hiding criminal negligence, his deficits piling up on 2-3 generations, his attempt to hide why four American died in Benghazi, his economic damage expanding the terminally unemployed who have quit the work force, etc, etc. etc. If he was not so frustrated and desperate for a quick political fix he would fix these things and stop the lame excuses.

One thing people can ferret out is a BS-artist. Obama’s desperate flailing is pure panic attack and it is obvious. He doesn’t understand why poking the GOP in the eye has not produced allies. And now Obama is going all Imperial Decree – while wondering why the peon masses are not simply amazed at his audaciousness.

Probably because he can’t see past all those Beltway Sycophants surrounding him and blowing sunshine up his ego.

Death By Government Incompetence

What a way to die – waiting on bureaucrats to get around to dealing with your critical medical emergency and finding them “out of the office”:

Time ran out for Linda Rolain.

The Las Vegas woman died Monday, less than two weeks after her family went public with details of how enrollment trouble through the Nevada Health Link insurance exchange kept her from getting treatment in January for an aggressive brain tumor.

Rolain was one of about 150 Nevadans suing Nevada Health Link contractor Xerox for enrollment mixups that left them without the health insurance they paid for.

A spokesman for Nevada Health Link was out of town Tuesday and unable to be reached for comment.

The “spokesman” was probably on vacation.

Look, federal employees do not get in much trouble for any mistake they make – no matter how serious. It is a fact of real life!

Example 1: Louis Lerner of the IRS. Is she being punished for her role in the using the IRS to harass political opponents? NO!

Look at the NASA managers responsible for the Challenger and Columbia disasters – where they fired?

Although changes were made by NASA after the Challenger accident, many commentators[who?] have argued that the changes in its management structure and organizational culture were neither deep nor long-lasting.

After the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003, attention once again focused on the attitude of NASA management towards safety issues. The Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB) concluded that NASA had failed to learn many of the lessons of Challenger. In particular, the agency had not set up a truly independent office for safety oversight; the CAIB felt that in this area, “NASA’s response to the Rogers Commission did not meet the Commission’s intent”.[18] The CAIB believed that “the causes of the institutional failure responsible for Challenger have not been fixed,” saying that the same “flawed decision making process” that had resulted in the Challenger accident was responsible for Columbia’s destruction seventeen years later

To my knowledge not a single person responsible for the idiotic decision to launch under un-tested conditions was held to account. 17 years later the same myopic incompetence was rediscovered. How does this make you feel when NASA even fails to learn from its tragedies?

Has anyone at the Veterans Administration been held to account after decades of intolerable wait times for critical medical conditions – which have killed thousands?

More than 1,000 veterans have died over the last decade as a result of a failure to provide care or malpractice by the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to the findings of a new report authored by retiring Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK).

The VA is under hot public scrutiny and even then it still bumbles about:

Doug Chase, a Vietnam veteran, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011, his widow Suzanne, of Acton, told a CBS affiliate in Boston.

In 2012, Mrs. Chase said she tried to move her husband’s medical care from Boston to the VA hospital in Bedford, so they could be closer to home, but they waited four months and never heard anything. He died in August 2012.

Ms. Chase said she received a letter in the mail two weeks ago that was addressed to her husband, saying he could call to make an appointment.

The VA is the real world example at what Obamacare will be for all of us, and it looks frightening. Even after weeks in the public spotlight, this is the result.

Was Hillary Clinton and the State Department held accountable for ignoring all the warnings about the Benghazi Consulate’s security risks, or the pending threat of terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9-11? HELL NO! And no one has been held to account for the BS lie promulgated by the White House the attack and ensuing deaths were all due to a bad movie!

The court document indicates that the government has evidence of a coordinated conspiracy to attack an American facility. “The indictment might be viewed as a death knell for a theory that the attack resulted from a spontaneous protest against a U.S.-produced video,” the Washington Times reported.

How many heads have rolled for the humanitarian mess at our borders where sickness, raping of young girls and dying children is clearly occurring? This was the liberal and ignorant “Dream” of open borders. And look what reality did to it! But is anyone being held to account?

Update: How can HHS bar congress from seeing the mess Obama has created at the border?

A Health and Human Services official refused to allow a member of Congress to enter a facility in his district where some one [of] the unaccompanied immigrant children ae [are] being housed.

Representative Jim Bridenstine (R., Okla.) was told he could schedule an appointment for July 21. ““What are they trying to hide?” Bridenstine said after the incident. ”Do they not want the children to speak with Members of Congress?  As a Navy pilot, I have been involved in operations countering illicit human trafficking.  I would like to know to whom these children are being released.”

“There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held,”

HHS? They have no law enforcement authority, no right to bar access unless there is an epidemic, and even then it would be CDC not HHS – End Update

Has anyone really been punished for all the rampant incompetence behind Obamacare? The fact is tens of millions of Americans have had their insurance plans screwed up, their premiums jacked and the access to their choice of doctor and medical center stripped. Obamacare itself has nearly 3 million Americans in limbo:

The Obama administration is struggling to address to inconsistencies with Obamacare applications, having resolved just 10,000 of 2.9 million problems so far, according to an independent federal report.

The Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General issued two reports Tuesday on the federal government’s attempt to address widespread inaccuracies in Obamacare applications, the first independent study of the problem. The federal Obamacare exchange, run through HealthCare.gov, faced 2.9 million inconsistencies as of February 2014.

But because the vast majority of Obamacare customers signed up after February, it’s likely that millions more inconsistencies have accumulated in the meantime.

And what has the News Media been doing all this time? Covering it up, down playing the seriousness, promulgating the BS excuses and simply flailing around trying to find scapegoats other than those IN OFFICE who gave oaths to serve the American People!

Americans are rightfully disgusted and fed up. There has been NO accountability for the Obama administration as the corpses and ruined lines begin to stack up. None.

People never really got the concept of the “Death Panel” analogy so aptly coined by Governor Sarah Palin. The Death Panel concept was founded on the fact bureaucrats are never punished, so when their incentive is to save money they really don’t have boundaries to deal with in making their choices. If saving money means breaking “a few eggs” (read hurting people) then so be it. That is their job and that is that. Sue them, but you really can’t

Alternately, in the ‘horrid’ private sector negligence like this will cost careers and likely criminal charges with serious jail time. The private sector DOES hold people responsible. The government sector DOES NOT.

Getting back to Nevada, lets all wake up and realize Linda Rolain was just one of many Americans who did die and will die due to Government Incompetence run amok:

Local insurance broker Pat Casale, who began in May to help the Rolains with their enrollment issues, said he wouldn’t be surprised if there were at least another 100 Nevadans who face both coverage problems and “urgent and emergent” health-care needs.

“I know a few that I have right now in serious need of care — people who have actually paid premiums and have not received care,” Casale said.

They paid their money, but the bureaucrats and their 9-5 jobs with 6 weeks of leave have other priorities. Never leave yourself to the mercy of a bureaucrat to save your life (exception: armed forces and emergency responders, who technically are not bureaucrats).

Never. It could cost you your life.

The elitists will keep having their power lunches, their political cocktail parties, their fancy dinners and roasts – all the while dreaming up ignorant fantasies about how they are saving us poor peons from ourselves. See, its just not their fault.
