How Dumb Is This Administration?

People in the Obama administration notified news outlets that are spies inside the al Qaeda network were helping us target al Qaeda leaders with drones.. In what appears to be an effort to show progress on the war on terror, the Obama administration has just told al Qaeda what methods are working for us – which means al Qaeda now knows what to look for to stop our progress:

U.S. and international intelligence officials say that improved recruitment of spies inside the al-Qaeda network, along with increased use of targeted airstrikes and enhanced assistance from cooperative governments, has significantly reduced the terrorist organization’s effectiveness.

Emphasis mine. What in the world are these people thinking!? The targeted air strikes need the spies to find the damn TARGETS! All the government assistance in the world is worthless if we don’t get TARGETS!

But now these blabber mouths have tipped off al Qaeda to look for our spies in their midst. I can pretty much assure these bungling fools that a good many of their spies (and probably others) are now dead, thanks to this news alert.

Idiots.

Addendum: I’ll say it again – idiots:

Those within the administration who have suggested limiting large-scale U.S. ground combat in Afghanistan, including Vice President Biden, have pointed to an improved counterterrorism effort as evidence that Obama’s principal objective — destroying al-Qaeda — can be achieved without an expanded troop presence.

Well, scratch that argument. With al Qaeda purging their ranks of newly announced spies Biden’s plan won’t work (it wouldn’t have anyway, but now the point is moot). Could this be another Big Biden Blunder?

They are truly idiots. I often wonder what their true motives are…

  2. WWS says:

This is even worse than 1980, when Jimmy Carter told the Soviets about our Stealth Technology to try and get an “edge” in the upcoming elections.

Then, as now, he believed that telling the world all of our secrets would make him look “tough.”

Even Jimmy didn’t expose our foreign human intelligence assets to exposure, torture, and death. (He let Stansfield Turner do that.)

    p.s.
nice link from lucianne, although though I think the traffic is giving your server a hard time.

So, AJ, you are in LGF CJ’s corner, right?

How is that saying going: “Tell me who you associate with and I’ll tell you who…”?????

Obama is fighting an image problem. Listen to his Health Care speeches….he spends most of his time trying to convince listeners it is not “socialism” or “government takeover”. He has been given much criticism (both domestically and from allies abroad) on his foreign policy over the past month. This may have been leaked to to try to strengthen his GWOT managment image.

Needless to say, any infiltration into al Qaeda happened primarily during the Bush years.

And, yeah, stupid move. It would have been better to say that “al Qaeda was near impossible to infiltrate” which is what the Bush Admin alluded to — while infiltrating the heck out of them.

My guess? A lot of CIA recruits/infiltrators will be found dead in the near future.

  5. AJStrata says:

    dbostan,

That could cost Sarah my vote. I agree with Johnson, how hard is it to find a good writer without baggage?

  6. AJStrata says:

    Dbostan,

With that said, I will listen to what she has to say and judge her on her own. Maybe she’ll save Lynn Vincent from the evil right wing! 😉

  7. WWS says:

AJ, you should really do some honest independant research on Robert Stacy McCain. The claim that he is a “white supremacist” is a vicious, intentional lie worthy of Daily Kos or DU – it has not even the slightest basis in fact, and if you will do some research on your own (which I know you do) then you can satisfy yourself to this point.

Everything that CJ says about Robert Stacy McCain is a lie. Go and check for yourself. What’s worse, CJ is telling intentional and deliberate lies.

And as an added prize, here’s the link to the thread where CJ suggests that Sen. James Inhofe should be charged with treason for speaking out against Global Warming.

    http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/34758_James_Inhofes_Climate_Denier_Mystery_Tour

These two pieces of evidence should be more than enough to prove that Charles Johnson has become a vile, paranoid, disgusting piece of internet filth. You should not be dirtying yourself by defending someone who has chosen to become an enemy of everything you stand for.

  8. AJStrata says:

    WWS,

What makes you think I didn’t? Go to McCain’s site and search for
‘whore’ and read for yourself. I want nothing to do with the guy and have little respect for those who do.

I just don’t go out of my way to make a big deal about it.

  9. AJStrata says:

    WWS,

One more thing. I never said Johnson was right or not being vile or paranoid. I said I knew WHY he was being vile and paranoid, and it is because of the crap you get from far right wing fanatics when you dare disagree with them. Johnson is now mirroring the filth people threw at him for not being a true conservative. He got that way because of vile and paranoid people on the right.

I tend to care less what they think, so I never get that bitter or angry. But I have seen it happen many times – too many times. Johnson may never come back into the conservative fold, and that is a loss. We could loose 100 McCain’s without a breaking a stride.

LGF is a massive site with a massive following. Now they could all lean away from conservatives. Not good.

  10. Alert1201 says:

This is why Bush was so successful at fighting the WoT. He did not feel he needed to parade his success before the world by bragging about all he was doing to keep the world safe and thus reveal his techniques – that was the job of the MSM. The draw back was that people were too stupid or duped by the media to realize that the fact that we were not getting attacked should be enough proof that he was doing a good job.

Obama and his cronies are a bunch of immature narcissistic neophytes who cannot keep their mouth’s shut.

  11. daniel ortega says:

Mc Cain and LGF are irrelevant – did you not see the South Park cartoon about how McCain and Obama pulled off the greatest robbery ever?

LGF? Pamela Geller will tell you all about LGF!

Obama, how LONG UNTIL YOU FINALLY ADMIT HE IS NOT ON OUR SIDE?

  12. AJ,

The Taliban & Al-Qaeda has been very busy Killing spys whether real or imagined for the better part of a year.

The issue here is whether Obama’s policy wonks actually confirmed something or are engaged in a disinformation campaign for some other non-human national technical means.

Strategypage.com has been reporting a “surge” of intelligence assets and intelligence specialists to Afghanistan ahead of the Obama decision to go with either counter terrorism (fewer Troops) or counter insergency (more troops) military options.

  13. ivehadit says:

    Hi AJ,
I personally think you are being too kind with the use of the word, stupid. I am wondering if this group in the WH prefers us to think they are “stupid”…vs. what I think they are: Marxists/statists with are very clear and determined agenda. If one looks at their actions throught my prism, there is nothing stupid about them.

As to Charles, it is never good to become the thing you hate. Same coin just the opposite side. He should stand down and re-think this. His character and honor is at stake, imho.

I always had the impression that the right was more interested in getting the truth, for good or bad.

  14. AJStrata says:

    ivehadit,

Agreed. But the far right needs to stand down too and just let it be.

  15. WWS says:

I am not trying to generate a big knockdown about some other blog. and I am not some great RS McCain fan. But a very unjust smear has just been cooked up about Sarah Palin, and you know that Kos and DU are going to pick this up and run with it. My original point stands – there is not one shred of evidence that RS McCain is a “white supremacist” – that is a totally fabricated charge made up from whole cloth. If anyone can find even one piece of hard evidence to show this to be true I’d be glad to see it. But this charge is now being made to accuse Sarah Palin in advance of hanging out with “white supremacists” when that is an absolute lie.

As far as the “whore” reference, well, Ashley Dupre made a living by taking money for sex, so literally and legally that’s exactly what she is. It may be quite rude to say so openly, but it’s still the truth, and that’s the word that gets applied to those who do that kind of thing. I’ll agree that it would have been much nicer if he had used the word “prostitute,” but “Escort” is just buying into the lifestyle a little too much for my taste. In the end, the only real difference between those 3 words is the percieved class level of the clientele they serve, I suppose.

As far as that group *ever* leaning conservative – I have to say that any group which considers it “Treason” to fail to believe in Global Warming is so far gone that they can only be considered enemies from now on.

In their eyes, even *you* are now a Traitor to the Nation, AJ. As am I. There’s no coming back from that point.

I don’t understand this strategy, which won’t send more troops to Afghanistan. The real fight that McChrystal has is against those Talibans that are causing problems for us and Afghanistan.

Furthermore, this strategy has been in place for a long time.

Spies?!?!?! Gee, that puts our spies in danger with this announcement.

  17. dbostan says:

    AJ,

I had a good deal of respect for your opinions, despite the fact that we disagreed on many issues, especially pertaining to how to deal with illegal immigrants and illegal immigration in general, and what the solution to the repubic problem is.
But I am losing my respect when you take CJ’s side.

Maybe you are not informed about his history of stabbing the conservative, respectable bloggers, in the back and undermining our side in the most disgusting way.

If you are aware of that and yet, you still take his side, well, I think my respect is forever gone.

    Sorry to say that.

  18. AJStrata says:

Take CJ’s side? I understand (and have experienced) the right wing venom. It is as grotesque as that from the far left.

I still think CJ is more than salvageable. It would take some Christian understanding and outreach – something well beyond the far right and their anger.

Tell me dbostan, do you see Charles as evil, or hurt and angry? What is in YOUR heart my friend?

  19. Frogg1 says:

I stopped reading CJ over a year ago, and I never read Robert Stacy McCain. But, I’ve been doing some reading up on their battle….and, I’ve got to say….I think CJ has some facts wrong about McCain.

Anyway, does it matter if Palin’s ghostwriter knows someone who CJ doesn’t like?

What does that really have to do with Palin’s book?

And, if you hire someone to do a job, do you screen them to be sure they have acceptable views? Or, do you hire them for their talent? Lynn Vincent has been given a lot of praise for her talent as a writer.

I don’t even care if Bill Ayers ghostwrote Obama’s book. What bothers me about that is that Obama lied about it, and lied about his relationship with Bill Ayers.

CJ is also very defensive about Obama….and called any allegations that Bill Ayers ghostwrote Obama’s book a right wing rumor. I guess he hasn’t heard about Anderson’s book and his sources.

    Either way….

If people want to complain about CJ, the proper place would be over at his blog…..not here.

I only bring it up now because I find it odd that someone would dump Palin because of her ghostwriter (or friend of her ghostwriter).

Anyway, if this all surfaces as a big deal in the blog world…..I’m sure Palin will smack it down in her usual way.

And, maybe she’ll be that sweet Christian who wins CJ over (with understanding and outreach) at the end of the day and after long debates . Who knows?

Sounds like she has a best seller already:

“A publishing industry source told POLITICO that they “cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented.”
    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/30/amazing-palins-book-number-one-on-both-amazon-and-barnes-noble-bestseller-list/

  20. AJStrata says:

    Frogg1,

I read up more about Lynn and so no big deal yet. It really is just a sign of how bad the right treated Johnson that he has come to this.

He is as much a sign of what’s wrong as 2006 and 2008 where. As much as the fact Obama and the Dems are royally screwing up and losing poll support, while the GOP barely budges.

    Dot, dot, dot.
