Democrats And Media Dump Liberal Base

Published by at 1:02 pm under 2006 Elections,All General Discussions

Now that the Dems have won Congress, it seems they are already dumping their liberal base – now that they gave them the power the Dems wanted. Too funny, and it needs no commentary from me. Kos and his Kidz must be kicking themselves for being duped again.

Will Strata be happy if the sequence mirrors Nixon’s promise of a
“get out quick” win in Vietnam, used for his election, followed by
long years of sacrificed troops with the ultimate ignominious
    defeat occuring anyway?

  2. AJStrata says:

    Ken,

When we win in Iraq (not if) and you are explaining why you never meant all the things you wrote – I will be mildly amused.

  3. Terrye says:

    Ken:

Why do you hate your country?

  4. Terrye says:

This is a good piece, everyone should read it.

  5. djl130 says:

I have wondered the same thing, Terrye. About Ken.

  6. Ken says:

The better question: why do you love holders of power
and assume they represent America at its best, defending their policies even after proven to be both failed and deceitful.

  7. Ken says:

    Strata,

You might be postponing your never-to-come amusement but I do not postpone my judgement on your Iraqi lies. Also your failure to come clean and admit error. You have repeatedly “determined,”
shall we say, reversals of fortune, for the insurgency, only to have
your own analysis proven wrong -sometimes by recapture of taken cities, sometimes by direct military admissions, for example.

Never have I read a “well, I jumped the gun” post…Of course you
have “heroes” like “the insurgency is in its last throes Cheney”
to emulate and you are doing a good job!

Ken – Read Victor Davis Hanson’s piece on Realclearpolitics – He answers your question about once a week, much better than I could ever answer it. And if you need more material, I can direct you to other essays that he has written. Thanks!

  9. AJStrata says:

    Ken,

You know your hate is driven by your inferiority, insecurity and low self esteem. That is why you fear people exude strength. Ever thought of it all that way?

  10. Karig says:

This *is* amusing, in a cold grim cynical sort of way.

So basically the Democrats lied their way into power by letting the whole country believe they were a bunch of Murthas, but instead they’ve pulled a bait-and-switch on the Left who helped elect them to power, so now we’re staying in Iraq to get the job done (for now) — which is why I and many others voted for the Republicans a couple of weeks back despite the Republicans’ less-than-glorious track record.

It’s also worth a grim dark chuckle to note just how fast the media is coming around to the idea of staying in Iraq, despite their feeding us nothing but bad news about Iraq for the past six years. I guess now that the Dems are in power, suddenly it’s OK to get behind your own country.

Next Michael Moore is going to try to tell us that he never thought of the remnants of Saddam’s Ba’athist regime as “Minutemen” who were going to drive our armed forces right the hell out of Iraq.

  11. Ken says:

    Strata,

Everytime I read one of your histrionic posts conjuring up
fear for an al Qaeda takeover of Iraq & America, your scenario rings
true to me, AJ. You fear people still exude strength over 30%
of Americans, an amazingly effective figure considering the
utter debacle that is Iraq. Ever consider a 12 step?

  12. Terrye says:

    AJ:

It is entirely up to you but I would not blame you if you banned ken.

  13. AJStrata says:

LOL! Nice try Ken – but maybe you should get your own lines. We all know your issues with the military are more personal than having anything to do with politics or foreign policy.

Terrye, banning Ken would simply remove the perfect example of why Libs will never, ever return to power in this country. He is the perfect foil. Too perfect at times. There are days I wonder if he is not someone’s sock puppet.

  14. Terrye says:

    Aj:

    It is your living room.

  15. Ken says:

I am a Buchanan America Firster and the fact you have to repeatedly cast me as liberal shows you best start on step# 1.

  16. The Macker says:

    “America Firsters”

  17. The Macker says:

    “America Firsters” –
    Wrong during WWII
    Wrong now
    By nature, always wrong

  18. cochino says:

So, this Ken is a “Buchanan America Firster”? He’s right, AJ, that that doesn’t make him a liberal. A nutjob, maybe, but not a liberal. But definitely don’t ban him. I’m new around here, but I, for one, enjoy his comments. I like to count number of ridiculously stupid utterances per paragraph (per line on a good night). Oh, and Ken: keep up the good work!

  19. AJStrata says:

    Welcome Cochino,

I have only had to ban one person ever. Most drop off when they run afoul of the rules (which is basic civility please). Hope you enjoy the discussions.

Has anyone noticed that Bush doesn’t too upset about republicans losing congress? Probably because there will be no change in the obstructionist attitude of either party.

Is anyone surprised that the democrats changed their spots? They have had a chameleon- like attitude ever since they have been a party. Whatever it takes to get elected they will do. I find it too funny that the press is suddenly shifting their opinions also. This just confirms the opinion of most on the right that the press is in the democrats’ pocket or maybe the democrats are in the press’s pocket. With these people who knows. May now that their darlings have control of congress, the press will stop trying to undermine the country with their treasonous reporting.

Ken just like to argue. You say white he will say black. Or vice versa.
It doesn’t matter. He has one theme song: Iraq and Jews. This is what he lives and breathes. Unfortunately his mind will not hold any other subject so no matter what the subject he brings these two themes into the discussion.
