The Hanging Of Saddam Hussein

Published by at 8:05 pm under All General Discussions,Iraq

Major Update: It is done – good riddance Saddam. May you face in death the millions of people you brutally murdered over your pathetic lifetime. Some thoughts. Saddam’s passing will lift a cloud from Iraq and its new government and give the democratic government some serious street credibility. The liberal left has taken a huge hit if watching CNN and Alan Colmes on Fox is any indication. Colmes was obsessed with the idea Saddam would be a hero to some. I guess he just missed all the holocaust denials and those who, to this day, praise and pray for the return of Hitler and Stalin. Sad, but these pathetic humans do exist. And Peter Arnaut was on CNN claiming Saddam was senile and the only reason we took Iraq was his sons did not have his military genius. America is going to be watching the Democrats – and if the liberal media is any indication there is a good chance they will blow this. Saddam’s shadow was felt here in the US most of my life – and all of my adult life. His passing was also felt a half a world away here in the US. One can only imagine the power of the impact in Iraq.

Update: Keep an eye on the reporting from Iraq by Iraq The Model as event unfold with Saddam’s hanging. – end update

All I have to say on the matter is good riddence, and the world is a much better place. But I will explain why I have no pity for Hussein. He had no pity for anyone else. No one should forget how he came to power – as a murderous thug. His ascendecy over Iraq began with a staged-crafted purge of his political enemies:

He knew when to kill his enemies and when to compromise them. In the purge that followed Saddam’s final assumption of the presidency, for example, ranking members of government were arrested not in secrecy, but at public meetings. And then their colleagues — ministers and party leaders — were ordered to make up the firing squads. They were made part of the terror.

If you have ever seen the video of this act it is chilling to the bone. Purging his enemies was a special gift of Saddam’s. He started two major wars with Iran and Kuwait resulting in the deaths of millions. But his signature atrocity against humanity was the gassing of his own people. I find myself feeling less for this animal than I would an actual animal dying. The man was brutal, insane and dangerous. It was only a matter of time before he was able to obtain the WMDs he needed to ravage this world. While the lefties will defend Saddam as a saint before crediting Bush with removing one of history’s most evil figures, that just illustrates how deranged the left is in this country. They see Bush as worst than Saddam. Thankfully that warped view of reality is held only by a petty minority. Anyone who opines for Saddam is crazy or sick. The rape rooms and children’s torture chambers are closed, as are the mass graves of his victims. The world is a much better place now.

Update: The best I have seen on this matter in the Blogosphere is, not surprisingly, by Rick Moran. As usual he and I see things very much the same way. He just says it better.

I don’t answer clowns like you FE, who beleive the Ku Klux Klan was a northern organization which spread south from Indiana, you senile cretin.

  2. Ken says:

And if the military is stupid enough to allow their troops to be polled by “liberals”, playing along with your game–then they must be so dumb as to deserve to be demoralized.

  3. Ken says:

But then you might be able to provide some evidence
of complaints from the brass they were duped and the poll is a crock? Until you can, go back to your coma.

  4. For Enforcement says:

Kenny babe, nope I don’t keep up with what the French, other than you, do. It’s their business. But you can be damn sure it’s not going to be in America’s interest whatever it is.

And you say all those people Saddam tortured and killed were included in the polls and they all wish Saddam were still there to torture them again and kill them again. Sure they were. You must be on a trip to never never land.

  5. Ken says:

Bikerken believes third world Saddam could have
risen to the level of 1930s Germany. What an insult, not to the Germans but to the occasional intelligence on this site. Bikerken-they’ve got pills for paranoia.

  6. For Enforcement says:

I don’t answer clowns like you FE,

Especially when you know you can’t. I do notice you resorted to name calling tho. The product of a small mind when it doesn’t know anything.

  7. Ken says:

“Kenny babe, nope I don’t keep up with what the French, other than you, do. It’s their business. But you can be damn sure it’s not going to be in America’s interest whatever it is.”

So not FE APPROVES of censoring the images of bloody
American troops which Europe refuses to do. What a baby.

  8. Ken says:

And you say all those people Saddam tortured and killed were included in the polls and they all wish Saddam were still there to torture them again and kill them again. Sure they were. You must be on a trip to never never land.

No I say the polls were representative-but then you kow nothing of polling methodology–and I say that
most victims of Saddam’s ethnic and religious Sunni Baathists also approve of killing US troops,as polls reveal.

  9. Ken says:

This is why the troops are so demoralized and allow themselves to be further demoralized according to you by taking liberal-administered polls, the saps.

  10. For Enforcement says:

BB Brain, you said:”But then you might be able to provide some evidence of complaints from the brass they were duped and the poll is a crock? Until you can, go back to your coma.”

Barbara’s point was, it was in the Military Times, and as the NYT you can’t believe anything they say. They didn’t poll anyone, the dupes are the readers. Liberal Rag. You sure have a problem with comprehension don’t you?

  11. For Enforcement says:

BB Brain: no where did I say that I did OR did not approve of posting the images on the web. As a matter of fact, I don’t care one way or the other. You have enough trouble stating anything you think coherently, you don’t need to try to speak for me.

My point, once again, I don’t even believe the Military times took a poll, much less of service men. I think they made the whole thing up. It would be business as usual if they did. They have no morals, no principles, no ethics and no readers except dupes like you. Liberal rags all.

  12. For Enforcement says:

Here is Ken’s typical name calling, clipped from his post just above and referring to military personnel currently serving in Iraq.:

    “the saps”

    Nice Guy……

  13. For Enforcement says:

    Gotta laugh at this:
    Ken says:
“No I say the polls were representative-but then you kow nothing of polling methodology”

So he’s saying No, the victims in Iraq of Saddam, the ones he tortured and familes of the ones he killed ”No” weren’t included in the poll, but it was a representative poll. Here you have a country that Ken swears is in utter chaos, can’t stick your head out the door for fear of being shot, but here they are, pollsters tripping all over each other, going door to door polling everyone. I guess the terrorists have guaranteed the pollsters they won’t shoot them as long as the polls come out right. HaHaHaHa, still laughing.
If I lived there, I wouldn’t answer the door for a pollster for fear he would be a terrorist and would kill me if I didn’t give the right answer. But, Ken want’s it both ways, utter chaos, but meaningful representative polls. Must’ve been visiting in Oz.

  14. For Enforcement says:

I just imagine the “accurate, representative polling” in Iraq must be something like this:

Rules for Polling Methodology in Iraq.
    1. Polls to be conducted by followers of Mutada el Sadr
    2. Pollsters to identify themselves as “Z**by Poll”
    3. Pollsters to assure pollees they have nothing to worry about as long as they answer the questions correctly.
    4. Pollsters to inform them that the people outside with guns are Americans.
    5. Pollsters are to ask the following questions:
    a. With all those Americans standing around out there shooting. Do you feel as safe as you did with Saddam?
    b. Saddam only raped one woman in ten, the American’s might shoot any of them at any time, so they must have been safer under Saddam, right?
    c. If the Americans went home, they wouldn’t be all around shooting at el Sadr’s men, uh, I mean Saddam’s so you would have less chance of being shot, so it would be much better if the Americans left. Right?

That’s kinda the way I imagine these polls are taking place, if at all.
But I bet Ken would think that would be “representative” polling, especially if the results were published in the NYTimes.

  15. Bikerken says:

You just can’t stand it can you Ken? You seem to be actually in mourning over the death of Saddam. How can you be sad over the death of such a cowardly monster? I’m sure the palestinians are upset, after all, he was paying them to send their children out with bombs strapped to their back to blow up other kids. Now thats brave! See, he was a supporter of terrorism, wasn’t he Ken?. Salman Pak ring a bell? Little place outside bagdad where they trained to take over civilian jetliners. I’m sure that was all on the up and up Ken.

Ken, people who slaughter innocent women and children because they are of a different ethnicity or religion are cowards plain and simple. They even hide behind the defenseless to fight brave soldiers. Saddam was the king of cowards, why do you worship them? I’m still bettin you’re a palestinian propagandast. All you babble about is how our troops are so demoralized. I talk to many of them who are there now or who have just returned home almost daily. To a person, they seem to think we should use more troops but they still support their mission entusiastically.

As for me being paranoid about Saddam being like Hitler, well he won’t be ever now, because HE IS DEAD. And that is the lesson we learned about Hitler about six years too late!

  16. Barbara says:

Air Force Times is left, Barbee–Neanderthals like you won’t have proof of troop disenchantment unless fragging starts. You’re a despicable wench.

A wench, Ken? A wench? What are you, some 16th century clown?

For your information the way the Military Times conduct their polls, per their own words, is to send questionaires to their subscribers. Only about 30% respond and of those most have not even been to Iraq. So there goes your poll down the tubes.

  17. Barbara says:

Air Force Times is left, Barbee–Neanderthals like you won’t have proof of troop disenchantment unless fragging starts. You’re a despicable wench.

Also I distinctly remember your support for fragging. If anyone is despicable it is you, dear.

  18. For Enforcement says:

Bikerken, Well Ken has said he’s French, and I think he may have said French Muslim, but anyhow you may be right. He may be French Muslim Palestinian propagandist. He sounds like one anyhow. One that is currently in Oz. He hasn’t answered lately so he may be over there conducting one of those polls he loves and believes in so much.

Wench, Ken, is that a French expression? or Muslim?

  19. Bikerken says:

Wench? Doesn’t that sound like that same kind of disregard and hatred of women that we find so much of in islam?

Like I said, it takes a coward to attack women and children.

  20. Barbara says:

Ken just played with his thesaurus again. Nothing new.
