We Are At War With Iran

Published by at 8:42 am under All General Discussions,Iran

Based on reporting by Rick Moran and Bill Roggio it is clear the recent attack on a US outpost in Iraq by attackers disguised as Americans was actually an act of war by Iran:

The American Forces Information Service provides the details of the attack in Karbala. Based on the sophisticated nature of the raid, as well as the response, or cryptic non-responses, from multiple military and intelligence sources, this raid appears to have been directed and executed by the Qods Force branch of the Iranian Republican Guard Corps. My sources agreed this is far to sophisticated an operation for the Mahdi Army or Badr Corps, while al-Qaeda in Iraq would have a difficult time mounting such an operation in the Shia south. “The Karbala Government Center raid the other day was a little too professional for JAM [Jaish al-Mahdi, or the Mahdi Army],” according to a military source.

This raid required specific intelligence, in depth training for the agents to pass as American troops, resources to provide for weapons, vehicles, uniforms, identification, radios and other items needed to successfully carry out the mission.

Rick notes our forces were handcuffed, marched away and executed. This is a clear act of war by Iran. This was not defensive. And I really do not want to hear about how US policy forced Iran to attack us because there was nothing forcing them to do this. The Democrats better prepare the wells of the Senate and House – because it is time for them to make their stand. Are they going to avenge the unprovoked attack on our military? Our people were there to keep the peace and try and stop the bloodshed. But Iranians came across and pretended to be Americans.

We are at war with Iran. It is now only a question of how long Congress and America take to wake up to this fact. Think of what they could have done with a small nuclear device? Time is up for the Mad Mullahs and Ahmedinejad the “Final Saviour”.

Does anyone else smell Gulf of Tonkin scam or WMD misrepresentation. Based on non-responses from intelligence sources it appears Iran might be involved!!!!!

Hell, that’s good enough for me – let’s start us another war, quick, before we find out different. And as Rummy told us once before; You go to war with the army you’ve got – in this case – one that is broken and fresh out of troops and operational equipment.

  2. AJStrata says:

    Yeah,

All BDS obsessed liberals think all of reality is a bush plot! That is why liberalism is the sad joke of this nation. Keep it up Soothie – and the Dems will lose Congress in 08.

Paranoid and ignorant is know way to go through life.

  3. ivehadit says:

And Soothie, you will never ever be in charge of protecting my country…where my children and grandchildren live.

It is really sad how the liberals are invested with America’s enemies…just because they want to be in power, America be damned…no matter what, George Bush must not be successful.

    I WILL NEVER FORGET.

  4. AJStrata says:

    Soothie,

let me get this straight Iranians disguise themselves as Americans, capture our people and execute them (all agains tht Geneva convention BTW) and your obsessing on business deals Bush made before Governor of Texas?

Good to see you represent the liberal priorities so well. Like I said – feel free to post more idiocy. I am a firm believer that if you want to beat a liberal just let them talk.

  5. Soothsayer says:

    Stratie–

Iranians disguise themselves as Americans, capture our people and execute them

This is all based on supposition that it was “too sophisticated” for any other terrorist or insurgent groups to have done – so therefore it “appears” it “might have been” the work of Iranians. All this happening just when the White House is ginning up another war with another Islamic country.

You say you don’t want me protecting the country. I sure as heck don’t want YOU or BUSH deciding we should go to war based on suppositions by folks with obvious agendas. Bush will be unable to get even Republicans in Congress to authorize war with Iran – unless he can get enough people to buy into this kind of bilge.

  6. AJStrata says:

Now you are an expert on warfare forensics? You are too good for us all Soothie.

BTW, how do you get that ego of yours through doorways?

  7. Karig says:

It seems that Soothsayer has forgotten that Bush is still Commander-in-Chief for another two years and therefore gets to make the decisions to “go to war.” Soothsayer can speak out all he wants, but George W. Bush is still President.

  8. Soothsayer says:

    AJ-

You’re the guy claiming to be the expert on war – you want to start a war based on what is at this point mere supposition. Have you ever seen a war you didn’t like? How about actually fighting in one?

    Karig-

Bush is still the C-in-C – but he is not authorized or empowered to “go to war” – which you would know if you could read the Constitution:
The Congress shall have Power . . . To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water . . . To raise and support Armies . . . To provide and maintain a Navy . . . To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces . . . To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions . . . To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress

oh, and the Congress has one other important power – the power to Impeach and Remove incompetent fools from high office. As leading Republican Senators – Specter, Warner, Hagel – have already indicated that the AUMF in effect does not give Bush the power to commit acts of war against Iran without additional authorization – if George wants to end his torment in office and retire to Crawford early – and make clear what his legacy will be: the first president to be impeached AND removed – then I suggest he go ahead an make my day – and launch a war against Iran.

  9. lurker9876 says:

Then how did Clinton wage war in Kosovo without Congress declaring war against Kosovo?

The war is already waged against Iran.

Congress has no grounds to impeach and remove Bush.

  10. ivehadit says:

Specter, Warner and Hagel are NOT leading republicans…more BDS.

And a clinton apologist. (It’s always all about clinton’s revenge, imho.)

And btw, congress granted the President the ability to fight terrorists after 9/11/01 I do believe.

And I ask, how many times did terrorists attack the US during the 90’s? FIVE …about which we are sure.

How many after 9/11/01 where they came to finish the job they started in 1993: ZERO. Z-E-R-O.

And what was that that OBL said: he saw weakness in America in the NINETIES…He hates Bush…wonder why?

    Common Sense.

Did anyone hear Rush’s show on Friday where a woman called in who had been a die-hard liberal before her child was born? She said liberalism is an internal illness of angry outcasts who want a “revolution” in this country. They truly hate America.

After her child was born, she realized that she could not be a good mother to her son with liberalism’s tenets. She said Rush was TOO SOFT on liberals…imagine…

  11. Soothsayer says:

If Bush attacks Iran – he will be impeached. You can take that to the bank.

Warner – the former majority chair of the Armed Services Committee; Arlen Specter – the former majority chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee – not leading Senators? What are you smoking?Bush can only get 20 Senators to support a troop surge in IRaq – how many do you thinkg will support a brand new disastrous pre-emptive war?

Clinton waged war in Kosovo because his approval ratings were at 65% at the time. Bush is at 30% and headed lower.

The military operations in Kosovo had the approval of the UN, NATO, and were in support of Muslims in the former Yugoslavia.
A strike on Iran would anger the UN, NATO, China, Russia, the European Union, etc, and further inflame 1.1 billion Muslims, potentially destabilizing Pakistan – whose nuclear arsenal could fall into Islamic fundamentalist hands if Mushareff falls. It owuld also destabilize Indo-Pakistani relations, and could lead to a nuclear confrontation on the Indian subcontinent.

The only supporters for attacking Iran will be al-Qaeda and Hezb’allah – as it will greatly aid their recruiting. Oh, and Israel, who want us to do their dirty work for them.

  12. ivehadit says:

Sooth, they are RINOS. Are you not aware of that? They DO NOT speak for the Republican party…they speak only for themselves.

And oh, the fear you have of offending the world community…you know, that community that resents, resents, resents success-that same community that treasures tyrants, corruption, rapists, thugs and thieves…who steal from their poor. You (and the UN) are invested with our enemies, sir. Fear, fear, fear. Not bravery or courage or honor…just fear, and self-hatred.

Bottom line: I, personally, do not like nor want the world you prescribe. Period.

And all the code words-Kyoto, global warming, International criminal court-seek one thing: THE DEFEAT OF CAPITALISM AND OUR SOVEREIGNTY.

Brave hearts will not allow the liberals/global socialists to succeed. WE are prepared to fight for what we love-our beloved America, the Beautiful. And that includes the hideous Ahmadinejad of Iran.

There are none so blind as those who WILL not see- 1938. Or worse.

  13. Karig says:

So I suppose the Constitution also contains a clause about approval ratings???

In any case, the President has 90 days to do what he has to do before turning to Congress.

As for impeachment — I’ll believe it when I see it. The “defeat Bush at any cost” left want impeachment very very badly, but then they also wanted the Dems to pull the US out of Iraq as soon as the Dems had power, but once the Dems actually had to start running things in Congress, they recognized that maybe yanking the troops wasn’t such a hot idea.

It’s not as if this is basically a one-sided war that’s just going to be over as soon as the US says “OK, we’re not fighting this anymore.”

  14. lurker9876 says:

Even if Bush attacks Iran (which we already are), he will not be impeached and removed.

  15. patrick neid says:

in truth the war started in 79 when iran attacked our embassy. even under the flawed geneva conventions that was an act of war. the fact that jimmy carter crapped his pants and did nothing is besides the point. radical islam got its birth and now we are dealing with it. sooner or later we will realize our mistake in not “cruise missiling” the leaders of iran, syria, sudan, hamas, hezzbollah and al sadr on the same night without warning. three years ago al sadr was a fat punk with a few thousand lackies’ running behind him. we let him go, now he runs iraq and controls an army of 60,000. brillant move on our part.
iraq has no chance to survive surrounded by syria and iran with its current leaders. these folks are professional terror masters akin to the best that stalin and hitler produced. when we leave they will fillet iraq the same way syria does lebanon. if we really want stability in iraq the path leads through iran and syria.

  16. Soothsayer says:

In truth, Mr. Neid, the war – if there can be said to be a war outside of the fevered imaginations of Bush & Cheney – began in 1953, when under the auspices of John Foster Dulles and Allen Dulles, the CIA overthrew the democractically elected secular government of Mohamed Mossadegh, and installed the Shah on the Peacock Throne.

The Shah systematically looted Iran’s treasury, and when deposed by a coup, fled to the United States, along with $12,000,000,000.00 stolen from the people of Iran.

This, in turn, led to the takeover, which you refer to as if it were some magical phenomenon completely unrelated to historical context.

Radical Islam got its birth when the CIA overthrew a democratically elected government at the behest of the oil companies. Read some history.

  17. Terrye says:

Not long ago Obama said that he would consider bombing Iran, but he has a D behind his name, so that is ok fine.

Bush will not be impeached if he attacks Iran, but I doubt if he will do it. I think there are other more subtle ways to deal with Iran for now anyway.

And besides the Democrats will do and say whatever works for them at the time. For years they said Saddam had wmd stockpiles and was a threat to America and now they just flutter their eyelashes and pretend they never said anything of the kind.

So what does it matter what they say? In a year or two they will be saying something different anyway.

  18. Terrye says:

And btw, the people of Iran actually look back on the Shah with a fondness. That tells you a lot about the people who are running the place now.

But then again liberals always assume that everything is the fault of the west and anyone who hates us is a good guy.

  19. TomAnon says:

    Soothie sez

“Radical Islam got its birth when the CIA overthrew a democratically elected government at the behest of the oil companies. Read some history. ”

    ROTLMAO!

The Ayatoula Khomeini was put in power by the big, evil Oil Companies! That f___in hallarious!!!

Earlier we hear from Soothie that we are fighting a proxy war for Israel. Let you Libs talk and long enough and you all come down to two major evils in the world. The Jews and Big Corporations!

Oh wait a minute I get it now they are the same…….

  20. Soothsayer says:

    Terrye”

the people of Iran actually look back on the Shah with a fondness

You – uh – spend a lot of time in Iran, Terrye??
