Ron Paul won’t win the GOP nomination!
Friday night, Representative Ron Paul, a long-shot G.O.P. candidate from Texas, basically conceded that he’s not going to win the party’s nomination.
Seems Ron Paul is the last person on Earth to figure this out – which says a lot about his powers of observation generally!
What’s happened is that Ron Paul has woken up to the fact that he faces a very serious challenge from a former supporter in the primary for his Congressional seat on March 4 – he’s ignored it almost completely so far and he’s in danger of losing. He has to spend every waking hour for the next 3 weeks in his home district
(Galveston, basically) trying to convince his constituents that he hasn’t forgotten about them or else he’s out of his cushy congressional job. The challenger’s theme is simple – “Ron Paul only cares about the cameras now, and he’s forgotten about this district completely.” Hard to dispute.
I wonder how all the people who gave money to him feel about their cash now? I see little images of dollar bills with wings flying off into the sunset.
The man is a loon.
