Obama Lied About Life & Death Of The Innocent

Published by at 11:14 am under All General Discussions,Stem Cell Debate

People who truly respect the sanctity of life, like myself, are looking at a dearth of options in 2008. While McCain is likely to support the conservative stance on abortion (to a point) to retain his conservative base, Obama is clearly going to go for the unfettered killing of young humans. And, no big surprise here, Obama has been caught lying through his teeth regarding his position on how to treat the live birth of a human being in the case of a botched abortion (H/T Ed Morrissey):

For the moment we can set that debate aside, however, for this reason: Documents obtained by NRLC now demonstrate conclusively that Obama’s entire defense is based on a brazen factual misrepresentation.

The documents prove that in March 2003, state Senator Obama, then the chairman of the Illinois state Senate Health and Human Services Committee, presided over a committee meeting in which the “neutrality clause” (copied verbatim from the federal bill) was added to the state BAIPA, with Obama voting in support of adding the revision. Yet, immediately afterwards, Obama led the committee Democrats in voting against the amended bill, and it was killed, 6-4.

Obama has lied to everyone that the Illinois bill he voted against did not have the clause he oversaw being put into the bill, then allowed it to be removed! If this was so damn important why did he not fight for the clause?  Because it wasn’t important to him then, and he needed some cockamamy excuse to cover his die-hard (pun intended) liberal core.

What really bothers me is not so much the individual choice about abortion, which I personally do not believe we can ever take from the doctor and parents. Most individuals, once educated on the reality of the human being conceived and living in the womb will make the right decision – will make the personal sacrifices. Education and counseling by those who regretted their abortions and went on to raise a family is, to me, the best path to reducing the abortion levels to the bare minimum required to deal with medical issues related to the mother and baby.

What bothers me is the sanctioning of corporate factories for the raising and slaughtering of human beings. The personal choice of parents or the mother pales to the concept of government sanctioned factories dedicated to the creation of human beings for the soul purpose of harvesting spare parts. What I am aghast at is the failed promises of Embryonic Stem Cell Research (ESRC), made all the more grotesque by the fact Adult Stem Cell Research (ASRC) has been producing viable medical breakthroughs for years while ESCR produced nothing of any value. For proof folks can peruse my posts on the matter of ESCR and ASCR.

Sadly there is no difference between McCain and Obama on the idea of creating factories of young human beings, they both support ESCR from positions of rank ignorance on the true science behind the debate. Not unlike the Global Warming issue, the debate over ESCR has been propaganda and populism fed to the illiterate to garner cheap votes.  Anyone forget John Edward’s patently disgusting statement that Christopher Reeve would walk if he and Kerry were elected?

Whoever wants to win the Catholic vote will do so by reflecting and leading the movement to respect life. They will not push for a ban or criminalization of abortions, but do what President Bush did and take the lead in educating the nation on issue of ESCR and all the snake oil that surrounds it.  Obama is incapable, but McCain has the opportunity to show how a person changes his opinions based on the merits of an argument, as opposed to trying to cover up his true character. Americans will note and respect the difference.

Added a link to your post from McCain vs Obama on right to life

I realize that the McCain vs Obama area needs more information.

    GG: Who’s Jesus to you?

    (He laughs nervously)

OBAMA: Right. Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.

And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

Well this pretty much reinforces my view of Obama.

    AJ,
Once again, you are an eloquent voice on this crucial choice for civilization.

The philosophers of the 1800’s defined human nature down, leading to the horrors of the Holocaust and the Soviet gulags. This is what scientism is doing today, by denying humanity to new life. But honest science validates humanity at every age, replete with uniqueness, DNA, an early sensory system, a history and a future. (Ultrasound)

And it isn’t only new life that is vulnerable. An “ethicist” (Singer) at Princeton advocates killing handicapped children several years old, while he humanizes animals. And, Soros funds the euthanasia movement in California.

O’ bama’s shallow view of human nature would not be helpful with his control over the courts and Federal spending .

    Thanks, AJ.
