Is President Obama Out Of His Mind? Or Is It An Internet Hoax (See Update)?
It seems President Obama is probably as sane as his home state Governor – Rod Blagojevich. It has been a tradition in this country for its officers and military to take an oath to protect the constitution, the instrument by which We The People execute our rights and power.
It seems President Obama wants to do away with that oath and now replace it with an oath to protect his highness, The Messiah Obama:
A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers and officers pledge a loyalty oath directly to the office of the President, and no longer to the Constitution.
“The oath to the Constitution is as old as the document itself.” the spokesman said, “At no time in American history, not even in the Civil War, did the oath change or the subject of the oath differ. It has alwaysbeen to the Constitution.”
The back-and-forth between the White House and the Defense Department was expected as President George W. Bush left office. President Obama has already signed orders to close Guantanamo and to pull combat troops from Iraq. But, this, say many at the Defense Department, goes to far.
“Technically, we can’t talk about it before it becomes official policy.” the spokesman continued. “However, the Defense Department, including the Secretary, will not take this laying down. Expect a fight from the bureaucracy and the brass.”
Sources at the White House had a different point of view. In a circular distributed by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the rationale for the change was made more clear.
“The President feels that the military has been too indoctrinated by the old harbingers of hate: nationalism, racism, and classism. By removing an oath to the American society, the soldiers are less likely to commit atrocities like those at Abu Ghraib.”
I believe this is how Adolph Hitler started, when he became the embodiment of Germany and his views were the law – above anyone else’s. This is scary stuff.
Update: I had my doubts when this first came up in my comments section, and I still think it may be a hoax. For what it is worth here is the reactions from the left – where some claim this started as satire and then became fodder for the gullible. I would really like to find out and I hope it is false. It wouldn’t bother me in the least to have been stung by an internet rumor, compared to the alternative.
If this is a hoax, the liars should be exposed so their reputations can be properly sullied.

Surely this can’t be true. Obama is not this stupid. He has only been in office a week and 2 days. He would have the country up in arms. This story is fake I’m sure.

Please see my earlier posts. The Constitution is greater than any man, office or institution in this country and more important than air. The oath of the military to uphold the Constitution is a check and balance on the office of the demigod (ummm POTUS) even more important than what can be expected from either the corrupt Congress or Judiciary run amok.
Where is that Montana or Michigan militia when we need them!!!!

Let’s look at the facts.
The current oath for enlisted personnel is:
“I, XXXXXXXXXX, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.†10 USC 502
The current oath for officers of the uniformed services is:
“I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” 5 USC 3331
Note the significant difference that officers do not swear to obey the orders of the president, but enlisted members do. Officers actually have a duty under their oath to disobey orders that are unconstitutional. Changing the oath of office would require a change in the United States Code, which would require Congressional action and, I guarantee, would create serious concerns.

That very same blogger has done three posts in a similar manner in the the last couple of days and they got swept up by larger blogs in the process.
They did the fact checks and noted the crud in their comment threads and if you look a couple went back and talked about it in the starting blog threads if they haven’t been purged out.
The clown is a loose cannon.

Sorry but that is not worth the potential of something going viral in the blogs based on his false information and potentially causing a major credibility issue that is not needed.
There is something very similar to this going on in elementary schools.
What’s so bloody dangerous about this idea is that it’s utterly believable that he’d seek to do it. The Obamanoid cult would think it a wonderful idea.

Don’t worry Frogg and the rest of the Kool-aid gang on this blog, it was very obvious that it was a B.S. story to 99.9% of the people who first saw it. We don’t need a tag line to help us figure it out – common sense works pretty well in most instances.

After Obama has made plans to talk to terrorists as equals, it is not easy to spot is stupidity from lies about his stupidity.
That is why this worked. No one would have believed it of Bush – unless your dumb enough to believe he let 9-11 happened!

But the interesting thing is that on Try 1, Justice Roberts flubbed the oath,
(you kind of think he’d know it) and that caused “Obama” to also flub the oath.
Now why did that happen?
So “Obama” and his advisers think they should retake the oath which
they do the next night, only without the Bible.
What’s the subtext here?
Whilst the Supreme Court is frantically blocking every lawsuit asking
merely for “Obama” to prove his bonafides and divulge his vault birth certificate,
Justice Roberts is laying in some insurance for the day when not only
“Obama” is arrested as an impostor but the entire SCOTUS and
every member of Congress is arrested for knowingly promoting a usurper
to the office of president.
Justice Roberts will say “I never swore in Obama”.
and that little bit of this incredible tale will be true.
He never swore in Obama – and Obama is not the president.
By the way, “Obama” just signed his first law, something about
equal pay for women. That law does not exist and any prosecution
under that law can lead to a defense of no law was broken.
This will get worse and worse.
Watch and learn.
How about the $4 odd billion for community service? What is that but to pay for his own private army that he says will be as well funded as the milirary and loyal only to him. No, it is not outside the realm of possibility that he would require the military to swear loyaly to the office of the president but it would be if he succeeded in getting it.
Somehow, I get the idea this was a feeler to see what the climate would be. Don’t think this guy is not arrogant enough to try something like this.
Obama did re-do the oath so all is official and legal.

I, barack obama promise to faithfully execute…….when obama interrupted right after Roberts said ‘obama’ saying “I, barack obama’ this unexpected and early repetition by obama caused Roberts to lose his place and re-state what he had already said. That’s the sequence of events. It was no big deal, just a couple nervous people.
