EPA Goes Fetal On Global Warming & CO2
The most exposed poster-child issue out there for the GOP to showcase as the prime example of left wing idiocy is the global warming farce. The science behind the claims is truly pathetic. There has been testimony in the UK under oath that includes the admission that:
- The historic temperature and proxy data does not have the accuracy to determine whether our current climate is significantly warmer or cooler than the Roman and Medieval Warm periods. Therefore we may not be experiencing anything but normal climate variance. Only data that has been ‘adjusted’ or run through hypothetical models indicates modest warming
- There has been no warming trend for the past 15+ years, even though CO2 levels continue to rise. Solid scientific research (as opposed to the crap peddled by the IPCC, CRU, NASA GISS, etc) indicates we are, in fact, possibly facing a 3 DECADE decline in global temperatures. This will impact the ability to feed the world’s population. After which there will most likely be panicked calls to try and raise the global temperature – such is the madness of panic.
- It is clear the climate models that produced the predictions of runaway warming are simply wrong. They have not been able to take historic data and create the actual historic record. This led the head of one UK investigative team to concluded humanity does not have the ability to predict the future climate with any accuracy.
There you have it. No evidence in the past, no evidence in the here and now, and no way to predict the future. If one wants to point to a motive for such a grand delusion, one only has to remember the cure for this mythological catastrophe was the confiscation and control of most of the world’s finances and business. In hindsight it was not Gaia who was trying to punish humanity for evolving to where it is, it was greedy liberals wanting to pick more pockets. Gaia herself has signaled her unhappiness with the Church of Al Gore:
The irony, it burns. Do you think maybe Gaia is trying to send the U.N. and the delegates a message? One record low was funny, three in a row was hilarious, a new record low for the month of December was ROFL, but now six straight days of record lows during the U.N. COP16 Global Warming conference? That’s galactically inconvenient. The whole month so far has averaged below normal:
This picture of liberal over reach is so clear and obvious. The congressional hearings to come only have to parade out all the evidence for all four points mentioned above (temps for past, present, future plus greed) for months on end to paint a stark (and accurate) picture of left wing motives and credibility. It is no wonder, then, that the EPA has decided to try and duck and hide as the GOP takes over the House.
The Obama administration is retreating on long-delayed environmental regulations — new rules governing smog and toxic emissions from industrial boilers — as it adjusts to a changed political dynamic in Washington with a more muscular Republican opposition.
…
Now, the agency says, it needs until July 2011 to further analyze scientific and health studies of the smog rules and until April 2012 on the boiler regulation. Mr. Obama, having just cut a painful deal with Republicans intended to stimulate the economy, can ill afford to be seen as simultaneously throttling the fragile recovery by imposing a sheaf of expensive new environmental regulations that critics say will cost jobs.
Emphasis mine and H/T Ed Morrissey. What is interesting is the NY Times admits the EPA rules are ridiculously costly. When you combine that admission with the fact it will do nothing to our climate you get a damning picture of wasted money applied to goofy concepts.
The left wing EPA’s stalling tactic is actually meant to buy time before they are trotted out weekly to address the mountains of contrary science that the liberal news media has censored. All Congress needs to do is bring the leftist leaders to hearings to face the facts and demand to know why they did not consider this in their mad rush to claim CO2 a pollutant (a true farce).
In addition, there likely are some actual career scientists in the EPA who really want to keep their jobs and really want to protect our environment who would be able to confirm there is not science behind the claims of human CO2 driven warming. The EPA has given themselves some time to ‘get their facts in order’ – but not much. In fact, I would say no time whatsoever, unless the GOP loses their spine again.
And while the global warming issue is framing liberal credibility and greed, we will be able to address their other crazed obsession – government run (or is that ‘ruined’?) health care. More on that in my next post
Meanwhile, in Cancun, the participants have agreed to a grand new agreement that is going to send Billions to the so-called Developing Countries. The only part they left out is the source of the funds. Well, who worries about that?
I hereby announce the creation of a fund which will pay every poster on The StrataSphere a Million dollars a year! I think everyone will vote with me!!!
Now where will the money come from? Oh, that’s not important, who needs to plan that far ahead? Let’s just cheer what a good agreement we have made!!!! It’ll all work out if we just believe hard enough, right?
fly, tinkerbell, fly!!!

The first thing a Republican administration needs to do when it next acquires the White House (and state executives when they take over from a Democrat administration) is go on a wholesale steam cleaning of political appointees in all agencies.
“W” was very charitable in leaving most political appointees in their positions when he took over from Clinton. What we need now at both the federal and local level is a wholesale cleaning out of these agencies.
While it is practically impossible to fire a government employee, the political appointees serve at the pleasure of the executive. Those appointees need to be replaced in draconian fashion. Employees below the appointees who have a personal agenda counter to the administration should be moved to positions where they can do little damage. A Department of Navel Gazing or something … in the corporate world a “Special Projects” office is generally created for this sort of thing.
Incoming state governors: Clean house!
Yup! Clean house!
Also, defund EPA and FCC.
