A Truly Dumb & Souless Study

Published by at 11:23 pm under All General Discussions

This has to be the dumbest and coldest study performed since the Nazis experimented on Jews in concentration camps:

A leading medical journal reports that having an abortion may be less damaging to a woman’s mental health than having a baby.

Of course, the damage to the young human being who was killed in the abortion is tragically lethal. Why not have a study where murdering people who bother you is less stressful than having to tolerate them? Is stealing less work than working for a living?

There are times where tough decisions have to be made to let a life go because the future is truly worse than death. But when we get to the point where it is more important to relieve some stress than protect and sacrifice 20 years of your life to bring a new human being into this world, it is clear the left has hit rock bottom.

You know, the Nazis did not think Jews were worthy of being cherished human beings either. That is no exaggeration at all. And it matters not if it is 1 life or 1 million. It is evil to destroy a life for personal convenience.

VERY good point, AJ! Getting comfortable with killing always requires the dehumanization of the one being killed.

off topic for this thread, but on the topic of general idiocy:

remember how Boone Pickens built all those wonderful windmills in Texas? This morning, across the state, we are being forced to sit through rolling blackouts (15 minutes at a time) because nobody predicted that the temp would drop so low this year, and that we would want to use so much power to stay warm when it did! Shoulda built more nat gas plants and less wind! We have a glut of nat gas right now, but not enough plants to burn it.

yeah, I know we sound like babies but it’s 16 degrees this morning in East Texas, and it just ain’t supposed to be getting that cold down here! All those people traveling south to Dallas for the Superbowl – DFW has a windchill of about 5 BELOW this morning. YIKES!

I blame George Bush, of course.

They don’t even see why I view this with repugnance. That is disturbing.

Egyptian chances for democracy are finished – game over, Mubarak has won and Obama doesn’t even know what’s happened. The goon squads/violence initiators who entered the city today are just disguised security forces sent in to foment violence. Why? because this will justify a harsh military crackdown on *all* dissent and the imposition of martial law. And remember, Mubarak is *still* the head of the military.

Mubarak has won. The people of Egypt have lost. And Obama is once again shown to be a pathetic fool incapable of understanding, much less influencing, world events.

I’d rather have Mubarak in place rather than the dreaded Muslim Brotherhood in place.

Watching the liberals embracing the Muslim Brotherhood as the non-violent strain of Islam makes me gag!

So if Mubarak did indeed win, then his promise NOT to run in September will be broken.

    Obama is a bumbling idiot.

  6. WWS says:

I can see now that there was never a chance of the Islamic brotherhood taking over; that has merely been a smokescreen to allow the Army (ie, Mubarak) to crack down and squash any chances of liberalization, much like the Iranian govm’t did last year. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out that today’s Muslim Brotherhood is secretly financed and controlled by Mubarak; that would actually be par for the convoluted politcs of the middle east. Got to have a bad guy around to make yourself look good, and the Muslim Brotherhood is Mubaraks perennial ace in the hole. Just look at where the violence is coming from – the violence today is not being fomented by the Islamists; it is coming from Mubarak’s people and being blamed on “unrest” in order to justify an indefinite period of martial law.

Doubt that? this morning western journalists are being rounded up by the Army. Why are independant journalists the greatest threat to the current government, while those creating havoc are ignored? Because they just might report that Mubarak’s people are the true source of almost all of the violence, and that IS a threat to the current regime.

Mubarak will hold on to power as long as he wants, and when he does go another general (a mubarak puppet) will take over, and then another. Egypt is now confirmed as just another thugocracy, a military dictatorship that we pay to stay in power.

The saddest part is that as much as we fear and despise the Islamists, they are far more honest than we are. If I was an Egyptian, I would hate America for the rest of my life for enabling this to happen.

Democracy in Egyot is dead. And the US is paying for the funeral.

I have heard that if Obama did x then z would happen. I think we had no hope of affecting what would happen in Egypt. The institutions for anything other then a dictatorship do not exist. To get to a more democratic form of government you need a dictator who will take the people there.

  8. lurker9876 says:

I see that Obama is still trying to convince Mubarak to resign by Friday over there.

And Obama will still welcome the Muslim Brotherhood into the new institution.

    UGH

  9. WWS says:

my prediction – Mubarak ain’t going anywhere until he feels like it. Like September. Maybe.

and the man who replaces him will be Mubarak’s puppet.

  10. lurker9876 says:

Charles Krauthammer predicted that Mubarak will be gone in a few days.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if your prediction comes true.
