The O-Bomb: America Is On Suicide Watch In Barack’s America – Updated

Obama is such a liberal it is amazing. First off was a propaganda biography that would make Joseph Goebbels proud. Obama talked about his father from Kenya and mother from America following the American dream. Which also, according to the biography, Obama only remembers a month with his father. His mother wanted him and her to follow the American dream – in Indonesia. His father fulfilled his part of the dream taking off for better pastures.

I have no clue who wrote this crap, but as far as I could tell Obama should be president because he went to a parade for US astronauts. The biography was incoherent and, for those who KNOW his biography, a PR white wash.

When he got into his speech it was doom and gloom and all the fault of someone other than a do-nothing Democrat Congress. Can’t afford the gas, the credit cards, the taxes. His view of America was so negative and pessimistic one wonders why anyone would stay around and try and fix it. Geez, we have veterans sleeping in the streets for heaven’s sake! And in his effort to try and bring a new hope to DC, he was flippant and obnoxious and naive about the issues and his opponents. I heard so many sob stories (which I have lived through and succeeded through) it was just pathetic. He recalls all the others in his life who accomplished something – but he did nothing himself.

There is very little chance this narcissistic and insulting ‘speech’ is going to move the independents. Ho hum – another liberal spewing fantasies and lies. Yes, 20% of this nation is that naive. But 80% aren’t. This is a disaster of a speech.

Obama’s world view is we can do NOTHING on our own. We can do NOTHING without assistance from government. Obama has a serious Santa Claus complex – he wants to ‘help’ all those poor and desperate people who cannot make it on their own and could only succeed with Barack’s help. Ugh.

Inflate your tires! In 10 years we will no longer be dependent on foreign oil – Obama will have outlawed cars.

Update: Obama went into total incoherent mode at the end about not going back or something. And the ending music was so strange and moody one just had to wonder who picked the selection. I had given up on Obama because it was such an endless litany of liberal sob stories and empty rhetoric that my BS meter pegged.

But DJStrata claimed Obama made some snide remark about McCain’s sacrifice:

I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a Red America or a Blue America – they have served the United States of America.

So I’ve got news for you, John McCain. We all put our country first.

I bet this sounds worse when on video instead of on paper.  But what McCain has been saying is Obama has not done these things, he doesn’t have the experience.  He has not made tough decisions, risked anything.  I may be old and out of sync with America, but this was a laugher of 3rd grade level platitudes when it was not insulting. Grade – F

Update: Found the video section of Obama’s speech where he tries to challenge McCain’s service to America with that of others (it starts at time mark 5:30 or so):

One thing I do know is the military (who do the sacrificing, bleeding and dying) and their families overwhelmingly support President Bush and Senator McCain. Obama’s attempt to use the sacrifice of others to attack a man who was offered freedom so our enemies could win some PR points, but turned it down and was beaten and isolated for refusing looks cowardly and worse. Obama is no better than those VietCong Kerry embraced so many years ago. He too is willing to use a prisoner of war and his suffering for political gain. This part of the speech is a disaster because Obama is lecturing a man who he cannot stand up to. We know McCain and others sacrificed Barry, we also know you did not to the level they did. Not even close.

There is so much wrong with this speech, every statement a lie or spin it would take hours to tear apart. Thankfully the blogosphere will divvy up the job in the coming days. But to me the speech was just a joke until this part. There will be a backlash – and it will coincide with 9-11 and our last remembrance of that fateful with the President who fought the wars which have kept us safe from attack here at home, and who turned al-Qaeda from the future of Islam in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the enemy of Islam in those communities.

I will post more on what this year’s 9-11 anniversary will bring with it being George Bush’s last one in office, but honest people will think back to 9/12/01 and realize that if I had said “you watch, George Bush is going to take care of this and by the time he leaves office the Muslims of Afghanistan and Iraq will not be cheering al-Qaeda, but instead will be hunting with American allies” you would have probably thought I was mad.

If you want to see change then look to Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, where al-Qaeda was cheered and admired in 2001, but is now hunted for horrific crimes against fellow Muslims. al-Qaeda is now the enemy of Islam, not the future of Islam. And that is change no inexperienced fool like Obama could ever hope to achieve. It is also something outside the grasp of those handwringing liberals who refuse to see what has been accomplished in the war on terror. They don’t want change, they want to live in a fantasy world of lies and rhetoric and play Santa Claus to all us needy and helpless people.

Pullease. The change we need is to get past this liberal dribble and reward those who helped create change like this world has not seen since it vanquished Adolf Hitler.

I understand that you are an Obama supporter. I’m sorry, but like most of what Obama has done, from his “race” speech to the Berlin speech, it causes initial euphoria in many people (including those in the media) because it’s so well done. But, when you reflect on it, you realize that it just raises questions.

The whole, “I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain. The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and they have bled together and they have died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a red America or a blue America, they have served the United States of America”, again, is just talk. Obama has not been a I-bleed-red-white-and-blue guy. Personally, I think it’s OK to not be the most patriotic person in the world. But don’t claim to be when you are clearly not.

And Pat Buchanon saying that it’s not a liberal speech is absurd. Now, I’m not a Buchanon fan, it’s true, but he’s just wrong. Virtually that entire speech was in line with liberal orthodoxy of the past 35 years. Probably the only partial departure was the part on cutting taxes on “95%” (again, specifics unclear as to exactly who he’s talking about or how he’s going to do it) of the Americans, but that’s minor.

Well… yeah. He was making a speech. In general, that involves talking.

Would you have a prefered a Powerpoint presentation? Pie charts? Maybe a magic trick?

“And Pat Buchanon saying that it’s not a liberal speech is absurd.”

Actually, I agree with you on that one. That was the one thing he said that actually made me think, “Umm – what??”

Andrew Sullivan agrees with both of us:

“It was a liberal speech, more unabashedly, unashamedly liberal than any Democratic acceptance speech since the great era of American liberalism. But it made the case for that liberalism – in the context of the decline of the American dream, and the rise of cynicism and the collapse of cultural unity. His ability to portray that liberalism as a patriotic, unifying, ennobling tradition makes him the most lethal and remarkable Democratic figure since John F Kennedy.”

    Dale:

I have just two words for you:

    Seek help.

    Why?

I’m not the Anti-American/Pro-Jihadi Delusional Democratic Traitor Leftist Moron Nutbag Troll….you are!

Ergo, it is you that “needs help”, not me!

  4. […] of the United States. This is truly exciting news which will totally eclipse Obama’s liberal ranting from last night. Way to go […]

Ahhh. I don’t post comments very much. There are too many really annoying people that post on sites like this. I like the ‘yeah, it was a speech- that usually involves talking’ thing. You threw in the ‘would you like a magic trick’ thing, too. I can tell your a funny guy. You clipped my comment, too, to make what I meant unclear. I know how this works. I know where you’re coming from and you know where I’m coming from, but we’ll go back and forth with you twisting my words and moving your rhetorical target so that nothing can be resolved and your ego can be satisfied. No thanks.

    I am?

    “you are!”

Oh. Well, when you put it that way… I mean, I was unconvinced by the String Of Capitolized Insults All Strung Together, but if you can reenforce that with “you are!”, then hey — guess ya got me.

“Ergo, it is you that “needs help”, not me!”

Forthwith, ad hoc, e pluribus unum, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!!!!111!!eleventy-one!!

    Good DAY, Sir!
