SNAFU On CNN’s Situation Room: Brazile Compares Obama To Jesus Christ, Palin To Pontius Pilate – Updated

Update – Anyone wondering if I have lost it or the dems really are running amok in a craze can now go to CNN and see the transcript for the show:

BRAZILE: First of all, I don’t think they understand the role of a community organizer, often to help people who are in distress, they’ve lost their jobs, they’ve lost their homes, they’ve lost their health care. And for many of us, it’s a time honored tradition to give back, especially those who have been rewarded with so much.

The Bible says to whom much is given much is required and it comes out of that tradition. So it was insulting to see both, you know, the governor as well as Mayor Giuliani criticize people. There’s some on the Internet now that Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate was a governor. And perhaps they should understand the role of a community organizer, do help people in distress.

Liberals are still looking to the web to produce their virtual salvation it seems.

Update: Folks, it was not CNN’s Situation Room, it was Late Edition (like there’s a big difference other than the day of the week!) – end update

Everyone has a clear understanding of what is wrong with DC and the Political Industrial Complex of lobbyists, career politicians, career talking heads and the liberal media attack dogs. We out here in the unwashed America outside call it the SNAFU in DC.

Today on CNN’s Situation Room Blitzer (who cuts off all good points favoring the GOP) had Donna Brazile and James Carville demonstrate the SNAFU status in the DC/NY Media and liberal talking heads. At one point in the show Donna Brazile tried to cement the image of The Messiah, and actually compared Barack Obama to Jesus Christ (the community organizer) and Sarah Palin to Pontius Pilate (the Governor). Can’t wait to see that one on You Tube!

I guess now the poor liberals will start chanting how they are being crucified by the oppressors. I have never seen such laughable God-Complexes as these lame liberals trying to connect to religious people. Can they look any dumber? Well, after Brazille suggested Obama would be parting the waters and saving the Earth Carville went off on mind-numbing policy wonk statistics just to emphasize how inside the beltway he and the dems were – after of course slamming small town America as unable to produce leaders for this nation.

Just when you don’t think the left could screw up any more they go off another cliff. So, when will Obama turn my water to wine dems? Does any one need any more evidence Palin has the left spooked to the point of insanity? Can The Messiah save them? I think we know which party is mentally prepared (and stable) enough to lead now.

This is worse than the Saturday Night Live skit last night, you can’t make this stuff up the skit was more fair and balanced and it was a smack down of the media love affair with the Leftisit Organizer.
It is way past time for the American people to take their country back from the inside the beltway media and leftist, socialists, who have the worst apoproval ratings of any congress ever!

I never was a McCain fan as many here know, but with the pick of Palin I will do whatever I can to elect him and I have sent donations. A long way from where I was two weeks ago. Thanks Sarah and John for flushing the leftists out for the whole world to see!

It doesn’t surprise me that once these liberals start attempting to use religious parallels, they get it wrong. It must be hard to go through life ignoring or flat out suppressing religion and then attempt to grasp it as a tool when you sense it is to your advantage to do so. It is sort of like watching someone surf all your life and when you see a tsunami coming, grabbing a board and attempting to be competent. Religion is something that needs to be practiced over time, it isn’t something you can watch other people do and then attempt to copy when it benefits you.

They probably “tested” that meme on other liberals and they thought it was awesome. It’s what happens when you breathe your own exhaust all the time.

  3. browngreengold says:

    Absolutely unbelievable.

I had seen this same meme trotted out here on the Net a couple of days ago.

The absurdity of the comparisons struck me then but I figured it was just coming from some nutbag blogger or commenter, no big deal.

Now the pundits and talking heads have picked it up and run right off the cliff with it.

    Funny.

why not just have Obama of Nazareth turn your water into crude oil. actually, why not go ahead and have him turn it into gasoline. I assume if he can turn water to wine, he should have no problem turning the water into refined 94 octane Gasoline. Heck, this may even be his energy policy.

  6. Mr. Right says:

Gee, I wonder if Brazille got that talking point here…

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/4/141148/2106/244/586567

Or if, perhaps (just perhaps), both she AND Kos both got it from… oh, say, the Obama campaign or the DNC?

Which came first you think, the chicken or the egg?

Either way, keep it up, guys! Watching you jerks crash and burn in spectacular fashion the past week has been truly awesome!

Obama thinks that the change we need is to wipe George Bush off the planet and go back to Clinton’s great days. One problem, 911. McCain thinks the change we need is to get rid of the corrupt Washington insiders and give the government back to the people.

Here is some info I got from a Hillary blog about the McCain campaign:

The McCain bunch are, if nothing else, cool, calculating customers. Something happened over the last week that they were not expecting, and that something indicates that they need to go against their emotional and combative instincts, steel themselves and bring their unemotional objectivity to bear. That’s why an attack hasn’t started yet, at least an attack in earnest. The IDB article that I sent you was obviously a plant from oppo research to a very select target, but stuff like this is all that is going to happen until they see which way the indicators are going. That won’t happen until next Tuesday or Wed at the earliest.

This week’s convention caught even the most true believing of Repub operatives totally by surprise. They were not expecting Sarah to have the effect that she apparently has had across not only Republicans, but across a broad swath of independents. Their internals are telling them that she is, by far, the most popular individual on either ticket across the board. It is further telling them that there is considerable backlash among both independent men and women to the attacks against Sarah that have been mounted by the MSM as well as Obama and his surrogates. Every time they attack Sarah, they are in effect losing support in a demographic where they desperately need support.

They were not expecting last night’s speech to have the effect that it had as McCain is generally considered to be a poor platform speaker. I listened to his speech on XM as I was driving up the coast and then stopped for a cup of coffee at a McDonald’s about 70 miles south of my house in the heart of a very liberal university town whose four year student population has been used as a tool by Democrats to dominate the county government for decades. The McDonald’s had McCain on a widescreen TV, and he was just finishing his speech with the story of how he had been transformed from a swaggering Naval Aviator who cared only for himself into a man who was dedicated to his country and his fellow citizens after the North Vietnamese broke him in interrogation. The entire McDonald’s–liberal students, older workers just getting off of the late shift, McDonald’s staff, and assorted other customers–were riveted in front of the TV with tears streaming down their faces. This is a place where have of the hamburger and French fry preparers hardly speak English, and where half of the student customers were wearing Obama buttons as the balled their eyes out. The dominating visual that I take from that crowd was a young female student uncontrollably raining tears on her Obama campaign button as she listened to McCain. If I could have figured out a way to shoot that on my cellphone, I would be winning YouTube prizes right now.

Overnight internal polling now shows McCain ahead of Obama, but still well within the margin of error. The normal practice is not to believe the polling until it has run for three nights after the defining event, in this case, last night.

But there is another defining event that is going to occur Monday, Tuesday and Wed of next week, and that is O”Reilly’s one on one with Obama. Repubs have the tape, and O’Reilly wiped the floor with Obama. He comes off as petulant, whiny, and inexperienced, blaming every one else for “not listening to what I said” whenever he changed his position. O”Reilly was civil, but he made the guy look like what he is: not ready for President.

With the nation appearing to love Sarah, and now kind of by inclusion McCain, and hating people who attack them, it would be counterproductive to launch an attack campaign until they get the polling that will not be available until at least Tuesday, at the earliest, to see which way the wind is really blowing. If this shows a bounce for McCain of better than or equal to Obama, even if it is still within the margin of error, they will re-evaluate and wait for the effect of O”Reilly’s show (remember, O’Reilly has the largest audience by far for that type of show). If they get a bounce off of O’Reilly, then they will re-evaluate again.

They do have some incredible oppo dirt on Obama and Michelle. Depending on how things are going at the end of next week, if it looks like attacking might gain them support, they will start rolling some of this stuff out so that it can be used in sound bites by the candidate in the debates on an audience that has already been factually prepped with background data by the ads. The feeling is that if Obama can be provoked to melt down in a mano a mano debate, which is his weakest format, that will probably be the ball game.

Here is the feeling of one contact of mine. “We have seen the worst that they can throw at us and appear to have withstood it relatively unscathed. We have a whole arsenal to throw at Obama, and they don’t have a clue to what we may or may not have. All they know is that they have a bottomless pit of revelations to worry about.”
I think that pretty much sums it up.

    Nice post, Vince.

There is a lot more to understand about the “community organizer” area.

I had no idea what this “job” did and am educating myself with online research from many sources…liberal, conservative, and the “organizers” themselves.

As far as I can tell, it’s pretty squishy; helping people register to vote (so they can vote for more entitlements), holding lots of meetings to gain trust (one site talked about a “kegger” to get to know the local kids), using borderline illegal activities to intimidate local politicians. There doesn’t appear to be the kind of accountable goals you find in most professions. In other words, they are PARASITES.

Here’s hoping Sarah Palin’s first official act is to stop all federal funding of these bloodsuckers. One announcement and you’d immediately hear the squealing.

  12. browngreengold says:

    AJ,

Check out an organization called Public Allies.

Barack was a founding member in 1992.

On the surface they appear to be just a community organizer. Their site paints a great picture.

Michelle became exec director of the Chicago chapter in 1993.

There’s a lot of stuff below the surface. I won’t go into all that here. Let’s just say I think this will be big when it breaks and gets out on the Net.

Do some research in your spare time and see if you come to the same conclusions that I have.

  13. VinceP1974 says:

I think an organizatior is just a trouble maker right? but one who can direct you to laywers

  14. browngreengold says:

    Vince,

    Rush calls them “street agitators.”

From what I’ve been able to find out that is a pretty apt descriptor.

Public Allies is much more than that though.
