Incompetence Due To Distraction
Why did the underwear bomber nearly take out an entire plane full of people over Detroit last year on Christmas Day? Even after there were numerous warning signs from Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and his father came to the US embassy to relay his own concerns that his son was going to attempt something very dangerous, how was it our nation’s security apparatus missed this attack until it was too late?
How did Major Hassan enter Ft Hood and kill and maim numerous people after being the focus of two Joint terrorism task forces investigating his contacts with a known Yemen radical, US born Anwar al-Awlaki? How can you be in contact with a major terrorist figure and then have a terrorism task force blindly shutdown? What was so important attention had to be moved away from Hassan – and 12 dead people the result?
How did the Times Square bomber slip by unnoticed has he planted a deadly bomb in the center of busy NY City? Here was another person who once was under the scrutiny of a joint terrorism task force with family ties back to the Taliban of Pakistan? Why were there no eyes on this man and his travels?
How could the Obama administration miss such obvious and clear signs of danger?
Through complete and utter distraction with fantasy issues having nothing to do with saving American from deadly terrorist attack:
At an all-day White House conference on “environmental justice,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her department is creating a new task force to battle the effects of climate change on domestic security operations.

Napolitano explained that the task force was charged with “identifying and assessing the impact that climate change could have on the missions and operations of the Department of Homeland Security.”
The woman is a complete moron. The adminstration is rife with morons.
If Team Obama needs to understand the impact of WEATHER on operations they need to bone up on an agency called NOAA, and the various military weather units that can let them all know what the conditions will be like on the ground anywhere in the world. Maybe the task force is just needed to educate team Obama on what the federal government does!
This is, in fact, not the first time team Obama has let liberal ideology blind it to its prime responsibility to protect this nation and its people. In mid 2009 Obama’s National Intelligence Strategy came out and it too had a whole section focused on the weather- since global climate change is the LONG TERM change in global climate and not something we will experience in the four years this lame group is in office. They don’t even understand the difference between weather impacting operations and terrorists rampaging through our streets trying to kill us.
Homeland Security is a big enough job with overwhelming challenges as it is. Pretending to play God with the weather seems to be more an indication this group in power is clueless, and is simply running around trying to find something to do right (instead of actually knowing what it is they are supposed to do). Obama may actually go down in history as the worst one term president of all time. Seriously.
I am guessing that the Team Obama is banking on the short term memory of the Americans to gain back their votes for 2012.
I think this time many Americans won’t forget, even if the economy improves (which I don’t think it will).

President Obama believes that WE are the problem. After all, he wants to FUNDAMENTALLY change us. He certainly disagrees with my ideas of what America is and what we stand for.
Playing defense in this war is only going to go so far. We can expect (And are just beginning to see) an increase in the frequency and effectiveness of attacks against us.
Nero is fiddling. Rome is not burning, YET.
At least this proves (if there was any doubt) that to this administration, “Homeland Security” is a purely political operation. They couldn’t care less about the actual “security” part of the job, and are probably pretty annoyed by it since it gets in the way of what they want to do.
But what’s mind-boggling is to try and figure out just why Napolitano thought this bizarre policy would be a political plus. We know that the current regime is obsessed with the idea that the Left is pulling away from them due to the tax cut deal; apparently someone had the bright idea that the Left would suddenly be happy if only they transform the hated “Homeland Security” operation into some kind of Environmental Gestapo.
Even I don’t believe for one moment that leftists are idiotic enough to fall for that. Especially since the lack of clarity in the mission now guarantees that Napolitano’s dep’t will forever be a bureaucratic nightmare where everyone collects big checks and nothing ever actually gets done.
I had been considering an idea for some time, and now I am sure: Abolish Homeland Security completely. Fire all of the agents and replace them with something else. It is now so completely corrupted that it is no longer salvageable, and the best way to deal with our real security issues is to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch.

I pray the maximum possible number of Americans live to see that history. This man, this Obama, is going to get a lot of people killed, I fear, and that may extend long after his term of office just as Jimmy Carter’s decisions are still killing people today (there would be no such thing as Hezbollah in Lebanon, for example, had Carter not turned tail and ran from Iran … the same with Al Qaida as Russia would not have invaded Afghanistan had we not run out of Iran).
Weak horse versus strong horse…..that is the culture of Islam.
I hope and predict that Obama will be primaried and lose. Charles Krauthammer thinks Obama will win the nomination.
I read an article referring to the new US Census Report indicating that Obama will face difficulties in getting re-elected in 2012.
